GOG's company philosophy speaks for itself. They're big supporters of ownership. In times of massive attacks on ownership by the big corporations (I'm looking at you, Sony and Microsoft), it is more important than ever to have alternatives available. Besides being an ally in the ownership question, GOG also follows the goal of preserving new and old video games and making many of our beloved classic video games available to be enjoyed on modern systems. A very commendable endeavor if you ask me.

There is one little caviat though. I've created a bunch of achievements for Season One, but they're currently not working due to missing native support in the Ren'Py engine for GOG's SDK features. I tried hard to find a workaround these past few weeks to no avail unfortunately, even with help from GOG's dev support team. We then made the tough decision to release without achievements enabled for now. Achievements will of course be made available immediately as soon as they're actually working.
Let's give Summer and the bunch a warm welcome at their new home on GOG. Summer In The City: Season Two will also make its way onto GOG when the time is right.
