Mammaxa

Hey guys!

I'd like to announce… something new!

About a month ago, I saw an announcement for a new game jam. It was called The Heavy Weight game jam and had a theme I couldn't ignore - expansion and/or weight gain.

The limits were pretty short at only two weeks. How much of a game can you really make in that time? I decided to find out. Part of the reason was the fact I'd been taking a long time on the current Endowed update, and I thought it might help to challenge myself and make something with speed in mind. Skip the extra polish, just jump right in and make something as fast as possible.

The other goal was to dive into working with Virt-A-Mate for character modeling with a game. I've been messing with it for a few years now and gotten some experience using it for side stories like Taylor and The Perfect Girl, but not enough to get a flow going.

Jumping into it with both feet and spending two weeks learning sub menus, mods, and plugins taught me a whole lot, and I feel a lot more comfortable with it now.

I had a concept I'd been kicking around for a little while and thought this would be a great way to introduce it, in a short, self contained little game. The concept is a little (fictional) drug called Mammaxa.

The premise is simple - similar to how ozempic can help people lose weight, Mammaxa can help people grow bustier - naturally. It does this by a combination of several effects at once. First, it causes swelling, but much of it is temporary. Second, it works to introduce a potent cocktail of hormones meant to cause permanent growth. It also causes an elasticity in the skin to prevent stretch marks, as the total initial growth is between 3 - 5 cup sizes, but eventually shrinks back down to about half that, leaving the person with around 2 - 2 and 1/2 cup sizes increase. Finally, it ends with a tightening of the skin which provides the benefit of perkiness with many people reporting the feeling as if they had breast augmentation surgery, as they look and feel like new.

As the premise for a game, I love how flexible it is. Plus, once it's introduced, the quick setup means jumping right into the story without needing to take time for the premise. This means the concept is flexible enough to work with any protagonist and their love interests without spending time establishing everything.

The problem I had with this concept, as you may have surmised, is that as the first introduction to Mammaxa, two weeks was not nearly enough to get very far. But I had a lot of fun trying. So what I finished with was a demo of sorts - although of course on the last day I had to deal with a plumbing ordeal, which left me with an even more half-assed finish than I originally planned.

So, I didn't share it with you guys right away, because I didn't feel it was worth showing. But now, after some polish, I'm pretty happy with it! So I wanted to share what I have with you now. It's not quite far enough along to show the expansion yet, but it does set things up pretty well and introduce the characters.

If you'd rather jump into it blind, the download links are below! Otherwise, I'll make another post later introducing the characters and storyline so people can avoid spoilers if they'd like.

What about the (slow) Endowed update? Honestly, I'm embarrassed it's taken this long. Over a year is way too long, which is why I've been trying to post supplemental updates in the meantime. There's been The Goth Easter Bunny with Kassie (which I really enjoyed), the continuation to the broken watch branch, Beth's Ending (thanks, Fantasy 1290!) and two side stories. That's not an excuse, however, and I feel like I owe you an apology for taking so long with it.

Hopefully this little game concept can help with that apology, however, as I'm hoping you guys really like it.

I'm also hoping this experience trying to kick my ass into gear and say "go go go!" instead of getting bogged down with specifics can help me start working faster again.

Thanks, guys!
