Welcome in, everyone! I've got alot to catch y'all up on.
For starters, Casting Call!I am running a full round of auditions for every character that shows up in "Season 0" (more on that later) as well as a supporting animator! These are PAID ROLES, with the script already finalized and ready to read.
If you're interested in being the voice for Davie, Lucy, their best friends, their parents, their weird 3rd period teacher, SEND AN AUDITION HERE! If you know someone you think would be good for the role, SEND 'EM THE LINK!! If you're an animator and know how to handle walk cycles DEAR GOD, PLEASE HELP ME, AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
But what is "Season 0?"
I get questions and requests all the time "How did Davie and Lucy meet? Can we see their first kiss?" GREAT NEWS, that's what Season 0 is: a 3 episode arc showing how Davie and Lucy meet, and fall head over heels for each other.
The past year of animations have all been me teaching myself how to use 3D; modeling, texturing, lighting, animation- so I could actually produce this story. I've been writing and rewriting and rererewriting the script for Season 0 nearly the entire year I've been making animations. NOW, I think it's finally ready. 77 pages, 3 episodes, 2-many characters.
The goal is to get the first half of Episode 1 done, an animatic for the rest of the season, and then launch a Kickstarter to fund the rest of the series, as well as a physical release of both a DVD and a CD of the soundtrack I've been working on with the INCREDIBLE SenBeats.
What about the Videos?
I've had two videos in the works that are taking an enragingly long time to produce. One video has been fully animated for six weeks, and has been waiting on voice actors and SFX. (history repeats itself) The other is a LONG video and is, as you can imagine, taking a long time to animate - it's currently 4 minutes long and is looking like it's gonna be another 2-3 minutes ontop of that. THESE HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME COMING and WILL BE OUT SOON.
To all you guys who've stuck around:
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Your continued support means I get to make more animations, pay people to help make them, and keep this ambitious vision I have for Season 0 (and eventually Season 1) alive and moving.
I am so happy that the little world I'm creating with Davie and Lucy is resonating with y'all so much. I will be forever grateful that they can make you feel the same way they make me feel.
