Past Research - Draconic Kobold - White and pink hazelnuts
Following the donation of a sample by a dragon specimen, I was able to develop an alchemical plant species that recreates the characteristics of the specimen in question. The best species to match the strength of the sample was a hazel tree. Unfortunately, even so, the plant couldn't absorb all the energy and I had to pour a tiny part of it into a second species of hazel.
The white hazel with pink tips is this second species of plant that received the surplus. From then on, consuming the fruit from this tree bring draconic characteristics but reduced. The end result is more akin to a scaly kobold than a dragon. While general physical characteristics may have been preserved during the discharge of excess energy, this was not the case for cognitive or magical abilities. A consumer can then lose several abilities, and for example express themselves in a childish, primitive way.
White hazel with pink tips is more common than pink hazel. I'll talk about the latter on another page.
