Let Chaos Reign
Chapter 10
From Steel to Blood

The office of the Supreme Chancellor was quiet, polished, and warm with late afternoon light filtering through the high windows of Coruscant. Palpatine stood with hands folded in his sleeves, expression composed. He was enjoying a meeting with Jedi Grandmaster Yoda and Master Windu.

Palpatine enjoyed these moments, especially when they never realized every time they met he was the Sith Lord they had been after all this time but never realized it. Not even a hint of suspicion. Every art piece or mural decorating his office was of Sith inspiration or origin, and they looked at it without even realizing it. It made him want to cackle at how foolish the Sith’s ancient enemy had become.

He was enjoying the moment like all the other times in the past as they all danced along to the strings he pulled, watching the galaxy embroiled in a war he created and orchestrated for his ascension and the downfall of the Jedi. His mood wasn’t as enjoyable as it should be since his apprentice, Dooku, had failed him when his assassin had been captured.

The Republic operatives were trying their best to get any information out of her. He knew it would take some time for that to happen if it ever did. He was close to getting her freed, which irked him, knowing he had to take a direct hand in getting her out.

When Dooku contacted him about her failure and, by extension, his own, he realized the severity of such a blunder. Even without the closely guarded information of the Separatists, she was a capable assassin and strong with the Force. Enough so he kept a close eye on her and Dooku’s activities to ensure no treachery.

Once the girl had served his use and grown strong enough, she would have to be disposed of. If Dooku ever hoped to overthrow him, he would have to find another means to do so. Palpatine had done the same sometime ago himself when he trained Maul as a Sith Lord and not an assassin.

It never paid off since he had usurped his own master, but it was still a loss he felt to this day. Maul had such potential, and it was such a waste that he met his end to such a weakling like Kenobi. He was still searching for information on the one responsible for Ventress and Argyus's capture.

Master Luminara had even mentioned Tobi speaking about the Mandalorian Wars as if he were a part of them. He had dismissed the mere idea he had any part of that conflict that would be one of the preludes that led to the creation of the current Sith. It would be impossible. The conflict had happened almost four thousand years ago.

No Sith had achieved true immortality, and he and Dooku were the only ones left courtesy of the Rule of Two. The man was skilled and powerful enough that even when using the Force, the Jedi couldn’t sense it. Even when his powers… were odd. Using bubbles of all things, it made him question if he truly needed the grand plan to kill off the Jedi when something so absurd and pathetic managed to get the better of a high council member.

Then again, his current company never noticing the growing collection of Sith art and other artifacts that grew each time they visited made him question many things. Such as how a bunch of fools managed to be kept around as guardians and enforcers of the Republic when they don’t even notice relics of their sworn enemy right in front of them. By this point he just kept adding to the collection just to see what would happen if they finally noticed. A part of him highly doubted they ever would with how this war has them so easily distracted and how foolish they are.

His thoughts drifted back to the man that had proven to be a thorn in his side in such a short time. He was almost as bad as Kenobi, who, without trying, had caused several plans to go awry. Where this man had hidden all this time with such power and control, he did not know. But he did know he would take his time prying his secrets out of him far more painfully than he would for most others.

He was owed that much for making a mess of his plans. He still questioned how he knew of Argyus’ treachery when even the Jedi were unaware. He managed to even teach Anakin’s Padawan Truth Sense. Something she used to verify that Dooku’s agent was a traitor, revealing his deception.

The mere idea of these balls of darkness had his interest, and then there was the information about that green flame he created that continued burning Ventress' arm for several days before fading. No matter what the Republic officials and Jedi tried, none of them could snuff out the flame.

Palpatine was broken from his thoughts while having an idle conversation about the battles raging across the galaxy when he was alerted to a priority contact. Yoda and Windu both glanced over, as did he when his holoprojector shimmered to life.

It formed a massive, corpulent silhouette in flickering blue. Jabba the Hutt filled the air above the projector, heavy lidded eyes glaring at them.

Why was Jabba contacting him?

Flanking him were the two pillars of the Jedi order. Yoda, small and still, and Mace Windu, tall and carved from restraint. Both now interested as to why the crime lord was contacting him.

“Chancellor,” Jabba rumbled, voice thick with displeasure. He didn’t even bother speaking in his native Huttese, instead speaking Galactic Basic Standard, which made Palpatine wary. When a Hutt was speaking in Basic, the odds were they were not pleased. “Your soldiers have attacked my palace.”

The words hung in the air like poison as Palpatine, for one of the few times in his life, came up short on what was just said. His brows knit together in controlled concern. “I assure you, Lord Jabba, I nor the Republic have issued no such order.”

Jabba’s eyes narrowed. “Assurances mean little to me.” The holoprojector shifted, the Hutt's form replaced with recorded footage.

There was smoke in the footage and blaster fire exchanged, but what had garnered all of their attention was the white armored clone troopers breaching his palace gates. The two Jedi stiffened. The markings were clear, the armor unmistakable. Even their movements were far too similar to the clone troopers.

Mace Windu stepped forward, gaze sharp. “This is impossible. No deployment to Tatooine was authorized.”

Yoda’s ears lowered slightly. “Disturbing this is.”

The footage continued. Clones advancing in disciplined formations, palace defenders falling back, heavy weapons returning fire. It was chaotic, brutal, and nearly undeniable. Then it ended, a heavy silence filling the office.

Palpatine’s expression had not changed, but something behind his eyes sharpened. “These men,” He said gently, keeping his kindly mask on, “Could be professional mercenaries copying the clones' methods of fighting.”

There was no way the clones attacked Jabba. He didn’t order it, nor did the Republic. How and why this happened was up in the air, but he was holding out hope that the faces under that armor were not of the fallen bounty hunter Jango Fett.

Jabba returned atop the holoprojector with some of his men carrying a body wearing the clone's armor. The helmet was off, and the face was that of a clone. More bodies were brought over, and the same face.

Jabba pointed angrily at them and then at Palpatine. “Do these look like mercenaries to you?”

“They may have been acting independently. Deserters, perhaps. We will investigate immediately.”

Jabba’s laughter rumbled through the chamber, humorless. “You will do more than investigate.” The hologram leaned closer, massive and imposing. “From this moment forward, the Republic is denied access to my hyperspace lanes. Any Republic vessel that trespasses will be treated as hostile.”

Mace Windu’s jaw tightened. “You would cripple supply routes to the Outer Rim over an incident we did not sanction?”

Jabba’s eyes glinted. “I know only what I see. Your clones brought war to my doorstep. Now I return the courtesy, and you should be thankful I do not wage a war of my own against you.”

Palpatine’s mind raced to find an answer to fix whatever was currently happening. He lifted a calming hand. “Surely we can resolve this diplomatically--”

“No,” Jabba interrupted flatly. “You have shown weakness. And weakness invites predation.” The hologram flickered once, then vanished.

The office felt colder. For several seconds, none of them spoke. Mace Windu broke the silence. “This is a calculated provocation.”

Yoda nodded slowly. “Clouded, everything is. Hard to see the truth behind this.”

Palpatine walked toward the window, gazing out at the endless cityscape of Coruscant. Speeders flowed in ordered streams far below, unaware that entire supply chains had just fractured.

His voice was soft, completely at odds with the simmering rage that boiled underneath his kindly exterior. “Clone troopers appear on Tatooine without orders… and attack Jabba the Hutt.” He folded his hands again. “No authorization as far as I am aware.”

He pulls up a holopad, going through the military orders and various campaigns alongside the two Jedi. Nothing. “No deployment record nor anything in the chain of command.” Windu stated, frowning deeply. “Some of these troopers are currently stationed on multiple planets far from Tatooine's system.

Yoda’s gaze narrowed. “Someone moves pieces we do not see.”

Palpatine’s eyes gleamed faintly in the fading light. “That would seem to be the case.”

Outside, Coruscant shone with artificial peace. Somewhere far away, a dead Hutt ruled his empire, the Republic's legitimacy fractured, and unseen strings tightened around the galaxy. And even the Dark Lord of the Sith, who had believed he held them all, now began to question who had joined him in pulling them.

…

It was time. The day had finally arrived. I was excited to finally get a flesh and blood body again! The power, the feelings, and just being able to eat again and taste all that this galaxy had to offer had me over the moon.

It was also fun to watch Jabba lay into Palpatine when the guy was with Windu and Yoda. They may not know he was the Sith Lord, but if they both survived if things got ugly and my plans didn’t work out, then they could get a laugh at ol’ prune face getting made to look like a fool.

Through corridors I moved until I found myself deep within the palace near areas I hadn’t even begun to explore. Jabba’s palace after the attack had been quickly repaired, and security was upgraded after the ‘Republic’ had attacked.

Elite Ability
Naruto - Allows you to form a humanoid energy construct around your body that possesses exceptional defense. You can use this construct to both attack and defend for you while still being able to use abilities inside of it, as it possesses selective intangibility, allowing you to let inside whatever you want. At first, this manifests as a skeletal humanoid, but through training, you can make it stronger and more whole.

[Uchiha]
Epic Trait
Naruto - You are a member of the Uchiha Clan, granting you increased martial talent, energy reserves, fire affinity, and a natural sharingan that does not take up an ability slot.(Does not give Chakra)

The first one made me want to cackle at the joke placed before my eyes. I was acting like Obito when he was masquerading as Madara to then get access to Susanoo. That ability will be nice once I get it trained up.

The third, however, would have made me scowl if I had the mouth and capacity for such facial expressions. “Damn you! Damn you, you bastard!” My fist shook in the air, and my voice echoed across the walls and halls deep within the palace. The second at least would help me get my foot in the door if they are evil.

If anyone heard my cry of rage and indignation at being taunted so brazenly, they never said a thing. Observation Haki didn’t sense anyone close enough besides some monks whose attention briefly looked towards me through various halls some distance away. In their case, what they heard was distorted enough that they wouldn’t even know what I had said.

My fist covered by the cloak shook vigorously towards the dark ceiling. Eventually letting my frustration fade, feeling the energy inside of me increase by a not so insubstantial amount, I can only hope my new body will change once I am inside of it so that I could properly use what has been denied to me.

A metal door slid open, leading to a dimly lit room that wouldn’t look out of place in a futuristic Victor Frankenstein's lab. Wires didn’t cover the floor so much as they may as well have been the floor.

What lay at the center of the room as I struggled to not trip and fall over the various wires and cables were two metal gurneys, with one empty. The other had none other than Bib Fortuna unconscious on the table while strapped down.

The guy was a real piece of work. After Jabba denied the Republic's usage of what were now my hyperspace lanes, Jabba called Bib into a private meeting with him. It wasn’t a private meeting. The instant the coward, who, when the fighting broke out, tried to gather up whatever wealth he could and escape.

Thankfully my people kept him from leaving. Getting him to come to Jabba for the meeting was easy when it was made out to be that Jabba was calling him to work out a means to handle me and Pitou when those in the palace whispered how we and Jabba had a falling out.

Got him in the room, and Pitou held him long enough for me to try and get control over him, and it was easier than I would have imagined. I should have just hypnotized him from the beginning, but I was wary to do so thinking he was far more capable than he was. Towards the end it was just funny seeing the guy scramble for any power he could reclaim only to find dead end after dead end and no means of escape.

Once I had control of him, he spoke of all the things he had done. The guy was a good representation of a molehill of good deeds compared to the mountain of evil shit someone has done. The guy helped enslave his own people for nearly all of his life. Looted and plundered his homeworld, getting him disowned by his own clan when they had slavers among their own ranks.

That says something when even other slavers who were related to you don’t want anything to do with you. The guy had taken children to train as slaves and become dancing girls like the ones who served Jabba before Pitou came and helped me take over.

The part that would have made me do a spit take had I been capable of such a thing was that he wanted to help his people. To stop them from being slaves, to cut out a chunk of the galaxy for themselves. To not be looked down on by every other species in the galaxy.

I am all for forgiveness, atoning for one’s sins, and all that good stuff. But there is a limit when you have done even a fraction of a fraction of what Bib did. The stuff he spoke of enslaving and plundering his own people were the nice parts.

And it’s why he was currently on the table about to become my new body. If I had skin, it would be squirming at the mere idea of becoming him, but I didn’t have any currently, so it was okay.

Not like I would be him when I would just be using his body, which he had wasted like he had. It’s why he was chosen over everyone else in the palace. They had done evil things, but Bib was on a whole other level entirely when compared to them. Like comparing a serial killer to Hitler or Stalin.

For all of their evils and sins, Bib was by far the greatest of them all. It also helped that I happened to have the galaxy’s greatest surgeon do a complete makeover for my new body that would make me look glorious instead of what Bib is currently.

I stepped forward feeling hesitant with small flashes of fear. Reaching out with my Haki, feeling Pitou’s confidence and the B’omarr monks. The creepy spider droids scuttled about while what was left of their monks, who had followed their religious ways, watched on.

The others had been… taken care of once they knew who was adhering to their beliefs and who wasn’t. Something that was swiftly handled since I didn’t want word getting out about what was happening here. Those guys proved incapable of being placed under hypnotic control, their mental fortitude far greater than anyone else not a part of their order.

Despite Pitou’s confidence and a crap ton of complex emotions I couldn’t put into words, I was still afraid.

What if something goes wrong? What if remnants of Bib were still present and either became the dominant personality or I adopted elements of him and became the Star Wars equivalent to Space Hitler?!

Despite my concerns and growing fear, I put one metal foot in front of the other and laid down on the table as Pitou got to work. My desire to just breathe again winning out over any fear. “You’re sure this is going to work?”

My voice had shifted into my natural one before I had ended up in this messed up galaxy. It showed how nervous I was. Pitou smiled down at me gently as she began to secure my body to the locking mechanisms. She hadn’t taken my droid brain out yet.

“Yes. We have gone over the numbers enough times and even checked over the equipment for any flaws or issues. Have faith in me, master.”

A sigh escaped me, both of relief and annoyance. She will every now and again call me that. "Sorry, Pitou. I don’t mean to insult your intelligence or the monks. It’s just no one has ever done something like this before, so it’s uncharted territory.”

She rubbed the side of my head like a mother would her child. Despite what she was capable of and how she was more than willing to kill people just because I said so, it was oddly endearing. For some time, I had treated her just as I did Nemesis.

Dulling out orders and adjusting plans but never truly having a heart to heart moment beyond her acting odd when Bib confronted me. I would correct that once this was done. What little time I would have when not training would go to me trying to get to know her better, maybe introducing her to a hobby that was more human like that she could take enjoyment from.

“And it was something impossible that only you could bring about and set into motion.” Her voice was as quiet as a whisper, yet the warmth I could feel more than anything despite it just being words. It was the most I had felt beyond the guilt of those I had killed.

I was oddly thankful for my inability to sleep. It would be nothing but the faces of those I had killed and the things I had caused. If this worked, it was something that would become a problem. But that was future me’s issue, not the current me.

One moment I was looking up at the gentle face of Pitou, and then it went black. It was a gap for me, one moment she was standing above me, the next I was staring into darkness, aware unlike before. Coherent thoughts whizzed by as I noticed immediately I could feel the cold metal below me.

It wasn’t dulled or lessened. A shaky breath escaped me, and it gave me pause. It wasn’t in my head, or me just trying to live a lie trying to make myself feel better. I could breathe!

A smile broke out on my face as I felt my heart beat, each breath that I would savor the feeling of, and the wet warmth inside of my mouth as I felt my tongue snake around in there. It was all so wonderful to have it back. Then the best girl ever came into view.

Her eyes stared down at me, looking happy with her cat ears twitching. “Any issues with your senses?”

I shook my head, ready to get off of this thing and enjoy having an organic body again. I just hoped, unlike my droid body, which I saw remained unmoving on the opposite table, that I wasn’t as restrained on energy usage with my powers.

While I waited and trained here, I had come to learn that unless I put less energy into an attack, the powers took the same amount of energy. It never got better or became more efficient with my droid body. A trash power like the bubbles I could spam it, and unless I did what I did on that ship with Ventress and Gunray, it wouldn’t drain me that fast.

But if it was spammed, I would lose too much energy and power down like I almost did when I escaped. Since the droid body wouldn’t or couldn’t adapt, then the powers I used had to be adjusted. My hope was this body would be different.

Even if it wasn't, it still helped give me access to all my powers. Checking over my senses, hearing was fine, sight I was unsure of but was soon rectified when a spark of electricity briefly lit a small part of the room. All my other senses seemed to be fine.

Wanting to check and see if it was a part of my body, a quick mental shift had my vision change. Pitou’s subtle movements had slowed down, like she was swimming through frozen molasses. Her movements were etched into my mind and catalogued like you would a series of books into a library. My smile grew with Pitou tilting her head, seeing my Sharingan. I could even see the shimmer of Nen clinging to her skin.

“Yep. All clear. Any issues making those changes to my body?” I asked back.

She waved off my question. “You know what I am capable of, nyaa.” She tilted her head while giving me a cocky smirk. Without even saying a word to her, she knew what I wanted. She undid the restraints, and I immediately got up and picked Pitou up, to her surprise, as she just blinked at me as I spun in the air with her held aloft.

[Master Fine Arts]
Epic Skill
You have the skills of a true Master Artist. Having incredible, almost supernatural skill in most fine arts, Drawing, Painting, Sketching, Sculpting, Engraving, etc., and in general, the art of making things more aesthetically pleasing comes naturally to you. Given some time and inspiration, you can produce masterpieces; you instinctively know what kind of aesthetics appeals to what kinds of people, how to pour your thoughts and emotions into your works, and create art that can shake the hearts of even the sternest art critics. You would most likely be renowned as one of the greatest in art history. And you are the exact kind of person they speak of in legends of gods being pissy about mortals beating them in a game of skill and cursing them.

That was the final nail in the coffin. And the skills of art were slammed into my head, and all I could feel was even more happiness knowing I could recreate some of my favorite songs and use them to troll people in this galaxy!

“You are the best girl, Pitou!” I said happily, my voice shifting to Obito’s voice, having come to enjoy sounding like him. She smiled and broke my grip, coming closer to hug me.

We continued to spin until I finally stopped. “I need a mirror!” I said aloud, realizing I need to see how well Pitou did in changing my appearance to make sure no one associates me with Bib Fortuna beyond being the same species.

Pitou just smirked, pulling out a mirror from somewhere and showing my reflection. I blinked before my smile grew bigger. Blood red skin, with ocean blue eyes stared back at me.

My teeth were more like how a human’s should be instead of razor sharp teeth. The ones that made him look like a leech ready to suck the life out of everyone. My head shape was different from Bibs's without looking abnormal or odd, smoothed out and aesthetically pleasing as Pitou had explored the HoloNet finding everything she could on what the vast majority found attractive in male Twi’leks that met my own standards. Even the bulge he had in his throat that made him look like a frog was gone.

The head tentacles the Twi’leks had were toned down a little, and the size had been adjusted. They were still long but not to the point they would get in the way or become a hindrance in a fight.

My arm wrapped around Pitou’s back as I pulled her close. She was warm, and despite her chest being smushed into my side, which did certain things to me, I was distracted by other things. I could even sense the faint arousal she had at our close proximity.

“Pitou, you outdid yourself. Fantastic work.” She preened under my praise, held high, and closed her eyes, basking in the moment.

“Alright, with that taken care of, we have the next part of the plan to start on. How has the training for Nemesis gone?”

…

My teeth were gritted, and sweat coated my body. A massive fist that made my teeth chatter nearly took my head off. Sensing the intent to knock it off, I sidestepped the strike in a burst of wind before my muscles across my body swelled in size. They wouldn’t draw too much attention with the size change should anyone look at me.

But the power boost was immediate, combined with the wind swirling around me, I all but teleported to the giant Tyrant’s side and slammed my elbow into his knee. The air snapped and cracked from the force behind the blow as Nemesis was brought to a knee.

His fist slammed down where I had been only to hit empty air. My form appeared above his head upside down, spinning before my leg surged with enhanced muscles, and the air resistance all but vanished for my body instead, like a sail ship using the wind, it helped push me to go faster.

A kick slammed into the top of the Tyrant’s head, arm halfway up to block the strike as it cratered the floor under him. His teeth slammed shut, silencing whatever growl or single word he would have said.

He staggered but remained upright despite taking a blow that for any other living thing should have turned his head into minced meat. His arms slammed together, nearly crushing me like I was an annoying fly.

A quick usage of Glide, and I spun around the giant creature, attacking joints and soft tissues along his massive frame, and despite the force behind the blows being enough to do some damage, the creature just shrugged it all off. Its natural durability combined with Nen had made it so it was the perfect punching bag.

Nemesis was no slouch either, quickly adapting to its speed disadvantage. A punch aimed for its temple almost had me get backhanded, and a spin kick aimed for the back of its head had me nearly get caught by a tentacle.

The fight was more even than I expected it to be. But when I was using only glide, Haki, my enhanced muscles, and my control over the wind while using my body as the only weapon, it made sense. Nemesis, training under Pitou, showed. The hulking bioweapon was keeping pace with me, and as I outdid it, its speed and strength just increased to try and match me.

It never outright eclipsed me, but it was enough to put pressure on me and ensure my Haki was forced to get better unless I wanted to take a big meaty fist to the face. The Sharingan was cast aside, not being used because it added extra drain on me, even if it was minimal, thanks to my body shifting to be a member of the titular Uchiha clan. That and it would make the training easier which was the opposite of what I needed to make Haki grow. My momentary distraction thinking about such things gave the creature an opening.

Each step was like thunder, its Ren slammed into me, making me want to collapse under the weight pressing down on me. The durasteel of the cargo bay on the ship warped and twisted. Each step taken was like thunder striking the ground in the form of a jackhammer.

The speed of Nemesis had increased to the point I almost couldn’t dodge. Gritting my teeth with Haki screaming in the back of my head to move, I did as commanded. My form slid along the ground with the creature leaping and slamming into where I had been not even a second ago. The floor didn’t crater so much as it exploded as if someone dropped a bombshell.

Knocked out of glide, the wind instinctively cradled me like a mother protecting her child, making the landing far softer than it had any right to be. Guarding in time with Nemesis already on top of me. The Tyrant roared and growled, throwing punch after punch.

Each blow sent me flying back as my arms nearly broke under each punch, only saved by Haki telling me he was going to increase the power behind each blow and my muscles expanding and becoming stronger, along with the wind helping reduce the force as much as possible.

The wind may as well have been doing nothing despite the power behind it rivaling hurricane force winds, and my muscles, which could bench press several tons, screamed and begged for it to stop. Before Nen, Nemesis was a nearly unstoppable juggernaut that would crush anything and anyone who got between it and its target. With Nen… it was proving to be the biggest challenge I had fought so far.

The spar against my summon was working, my Haki had finally gotten to the level I needed it to be at. At bare minimum, it had to be capable of detecting intent and an idea of where they intended to attack. Nemesis took the spar a bit too far for my taste, especially when some of its attacks potentially could have killed me.

But then again, that has worked out in my favor and is helping me develop a fighting instinct. When it first started, I had just punched it using my muscles to enhance the power behind my strikes without properly knowing how to throw a punch.

“You're letting Nemesis control your positioning.” Pitou pointed out another criticism of yet another mistake I was making. She lounged on a metal crate, lying on her side while looking at a datapad, like she had been doing since I had ordered her to learn as much as she could of this galaxy.

“So I noticed.” I grunted out, trying to get the behemoth to back off when I slipped through his guard with a nasty punch into his chest, sending him grinding back several meters. “I know I told you to learn about this galaxy,” I said while reading Nemesis like an open book, avoiding several sloppy strikes, temporarily enhancing muscles in my legs to move and reposition, “But you need to find a hobby, Pitou.”

Nemesis, like me, had learned quite a bit from us sparring, just as he had from Pitou. When this first started, he just used his great strength to try and overpower me, only to find it wouldn’t be that easy. He had no real fighting style beyond pummeling something into submission and overwhelming it with raw power.

Not that he couldn’t hurt me. It’s just I had so much versatility even when I just used only a fraction of my powers for this fight, it made it difficult for his normal methods to work. It forced Nemesis to learn, and he did that far faster than I had anticipated. His strikes now were still aggressive with no real defense to speak of beyond using Ten, but he wasn’t just throwing wild punches or strikes like the Incredible Hulk to crush me.

He was using proper punches as he learned, just as I had begun to. He used tactics, like what Pitou pointed out he was corralling me to limit my options for dodging and avoiding him. Sweat drenched me, and I still had a little more left in the tank.

“What if I like learning?” She didn’t even bother looking up from the datapad.

“Pfffft. As nice as it is to learn some cool history, especially in this galaxy, I doubt it’s all fun.” I said back swiftly, evading a shadow above me that was none other than Nemesis's boot-clad foot about to crush me like a bug.

I dodged it at the last second, Haki almost failing me as I leaped off of his leg, giving Nemesis an uppercut that made him fly up a foot off the ship's floor after massively increasing the muscles in my arm. Landing past him, shaking my arm, wincing from the pain. Nemesis with Nen is going to be terrifying for anyone he hunts down. My breathing was heavy, sweat ran down my body in rivers, and I felt every ache and groan from my body.

Nemesis, after crashing back down, sent tremors along the ship, even Pitou atop her crate vibrated. She still wore those revealing outfits Jabba would have had her wear had she not been Neferpitou and she hadn’t killed him. Ever since I got my body back, my eyes have been roaming towards the fairer sex. Pitou’s chest and exposed sides of her legs vibrated in a particularly enticing way.

Her tail lazily swished through the air, and through Haki and my skills in Kama Sutra, I could sense a faint amusement and an attraction coming from her when I looked at her. It must have been my imagination when I swear I saw the edges of her mouth curve upwards. I looked at her and saw the same neutral expression she had while we battled.

“You’re getting distracted~.” She said playfully, making my eyes widen.

Narrowly avoiding the fist that would have sent me right into the ceiling, feeling the force from it pass me, followed by Nemesis unleashing a barrage of punches with his tentacles extending out of his arms to try and catch me off guard. Each punch snapped the air in booms that made my ears pop. Durasteel cratered and was torn apart, the air felt like it was trying its best to crush me under it.

Nemesis was getting faster, each blow was too much for me to try and block. I questioned how Nemesis was able to sneak up on me while I ogled Pitou. He didn’t. To be more precise, he did sneak up on me, but he wasn’t stealthy about it. He moved so fast he almost slipped past my Haki’s awareness of him.

The sounds of his feet breaking the metal underneath him only now just caught up with his movements. The sound of his steps coming closer, the tearing of metal followed by the sound of metal banging against metal, then the rush of air that followed in his wake.

He has to be using Ren, except unlike the other times he might have used it, it was way stronger. There were brief periods where Nemesis, out of nowhere, got a power spike where we would be almost evenly matched, just to have the giant monster send me flying across the ship.

Each punch was narrowly avoided only for me to feel the following shockwaves. Each felt like it made my bones rattle, making every movement faster on my part not to be on the receiving end of one of those punches when the realization sunk into my subconscious of how much that is going to hurt if it connects.

My body was being pushed to its limits already. I could feel I was reaching the end soon. I wasn’t sure if the universal energy used to fuel most of my powers would improve over time with training or if my body would adapt and get better at using the powers without draining me so much. I hoped it did. I had an idea that my machine body was limited as it was because it was mechanical. Esper further lended credence to that line of thought but only with small nudges and instincts but no proper reasoning or thought process.

Flesh is malleable and can adapt, even if the body may only be a fraction of how this all worked. If it had anything to do with it. It’s like a runner, over time they could improve and go for longer distances. A car or any vehicle has set limits, they are up there compared to a person, but once the limit is reached across a certain threshold, it can’t go any further.

If the car needs to go past those limits, it needs new and better parts. A person, not so much. Now I didn’t fully know if it would work like that since I was using more than just my physical body to fuel my powers, but given the fact I was drenched in sweat after using several of them in tandem and feeling exhausted beyond simple physical overexertion, I’d like to think I was onto something.

I stumbled after taking a step to the side, my leg giving out under me as a massive looming fist cracked the air like glass, aimed right for my chest. One moment the fist was inches from taking my torso out, the next Nemesis was stumbling back, sliding several meters back before slamming into the ship's wall.

Pitou stood before me looking where Nemesis was digging his way out of the newly made hole, then towards me.

“The bacta tank is ready for you, Tobi. Rest for a few hours, and then you and Nemesis will begin training against me!” A shiver ran up my spine at the smile she gave me.

Train against and hold your own against Nemesis. One silver ticket. Use now? Y/N

And you are the exact kind of person they speak of in legends of gods being pissy about mortals beating them in a game of skill and cursing them.
