Female Link Friday - Winter Wandering 6


This week's FemLink Friday continues the trend of winter pieces, though the scene is now much darker / saturated than before. More cinematic too, especially as its more direct in its storytelling than the last few, which were a bit more abstract.
Although I planned to draw Link in a blizzard, the final result is very different from the initial sketch. It actually took a while before this artwork started to look even remotely good. While the last several FemLink artworks have all been strong, I suspect this is largely due to the fact that they share similar design traits. Once I try an entirely different scene, I may stumble a bit.
I'm a little worried that, moving forward, as I try to fit commissions into my monthly schedule, these weekly illustrations will start to suffer a bit. I noticed that I was trying to squeeze more than one FemLink illustration in this week to make time for commissions next week, and that can promote rushing through these images in order to rejoin "the rat race," thus risking their quality... I hope it doesn't happen, but I think it easily could happen.
