And with that, the winter series is finally over. I would've liked to have some snow in the piece -- as if it was vanishing as the flowers bloomed, but it just didn't happen.

Unlike a winter scene, a springtime scene is much harder work -- especially if one wants to fit in a bunch of flowers. In winter, I can rely on colours and vague shapes obscured by the snow and atmosphere, but images like this require more technical & organic design elements. I may need a lot of practice and study if I want to make consistently compelling springtime scenes.

I'm very tired and I have too many things to do within the next several days... So I wanted to get a quick FemLink Friday done earlier than usual. The lack of sex appeal will likely keep it from being a particularly exciting image, but alas.

Link's outfit here is actually a combination of elements across several outfits, including the Hylian Tunic, Snowquill Tunic(s), and Quilted Doublet.

I'm actually running a bit late with this one. Honestly, it feels like the last Friday was only a few days ago... Plus, I also struggled to determine what to draw this time. Although I was originally planning to return to the "serious story" set of images, I didn't have a lot of time... So I started to sketch a sequel to last week's "interlude" (but a back view), which looked bad (and maybe too sexy for Patreon). In the end, I stumbled on this -- Link & the Rod of Seasons in a blizzard.

This is my second year of FemLink Fridays (uninterrupted), but this is the first time I started to feel genuinely pressured with it. Although FemLink Friday is something I want to only ever feel like I'm drawing for myself (and no one else) to freely explore the creative process, the stakes suddenly feel a bit higher because the last several images were so strong...

This week's FemLink Friday is simple. The last few images were starting to feel a bit similar to me, so I decided to draw a different outfit this - the Snowquill Tunic. Or part of it, at least...

Each piece of the armor set is pretty expensive, so sometimes you can't afford the whole set...

I had actually first designed this variant of the outfit in an old Concept Art post on Patreon, so I'm glad to finally have a reason to use it again. Since my Link design tends to have a mixture of masculine & feminine design traits, this outfit references the fashion seen across both Rito men and women. The original shoulder pads were essential, but the breastplate is different.
