Anyway more important stuff:
After a long year of development, Episode One of DriftBorne is finally here, and I’m beyond excited (and yeah, a little nervous) to release it into the void.
This is the first-ever early build, and I cannot wait to hear what you think. The story might be slightly confusing to some of you at the start but rest assured, everything will become a lot more clear and better over the coming episodes.
To everyone who supported my previous project: a very heartfelt thank you. DriftBorne is something new, something bigger, something far more cinematic. I hope it gives you that same spark of discovery you felt before, but in a whole new format.
What’s in this release? Since this is a brand-new game, I don’t have any traditional “patchnotes” to share, but here’s what Episode One includes:
  • Several hours of story-driven gameplay
  • A fully linear narrative (no sandbox this time!)
  • Choices that shape your experience
  • 100+ pages of dialogue
  • 17 music tracks
  • 40+ sound effects
  • A new phone system
  • A completely redesigned GUI
  • New characters, new environments, new tone
  • A story that blends multiple tags into a single story

This first episode sets the foundation, builds the world, and introduces the themes we’re going to explore throughout the series. I truly hope that you’ll lose yourself in our creation and help us shape the future of DriftBorne together.
What’s next? Episode Two is already in production. Now that the groundwork is laid, we’re expanding the world and the story in a major way. This is just the beginning, and yeah… it only gets better from here.

Small bugs squashed:
The last beta contained a few bugs and typos that we're fixed.
The most important ones were certain choices giving the wrong dialogue/scenes. My apologies.

As always… If you run into bugs or have questions, just let me know. Your feedback means everything, especially at this early stage.
Thank you, sincerely, for your patience, your support, and all your encouragement. I hope Episode One entertains you, surprises you, and gives both new players and fans of my previous work something to get excited about. Next post will be on the 14th with loads of more information on Episode Two.
Kind regards,
Jamleng.
