Future Projects - Maids & Masters Guide Public Poll
As I get into the meat of Maids & Masters v1.0, I think it's time to start talking about what comes after Maids & Masters.
The obvious thing is Precious Kouhai, but since that project has so far only received updates in a "there otherwise won't be an update this month so here's two scenes made in a week" kind of way, that's probably only going to get two or three proper updates before it's done.
That being the case, I figure it's time to ask you a question about something that a lot of you have been asking me for - a full walk-through guide for Maids & Masters.
For the sake of clarity: this is mostly just an info-gathering poll. This won't decide whether or not the guide gets made (though there will be a future Patron-only poll that will), this is just to give me a better idea of how much interest there actually is in a guide.
This also wouldn't just be a .txt with a couple lines of extra guidance for each quest and how to get trophies, either. If you're old enough to remember things like the Prima Strategy Guides, that's the sort of thing I'd be looking to make. An in-depth PDF with commentary, pictures, and laid-out mechanical insight for literally every part of the game, complete with indexes of when the Maids learn their skills, inter-document links to relevant pages, and enemy stat blocks.
Something that in-depth would obviously take me weeks, if not months of work to complete (especially being made alongside Precious Kouhai), which means it would be a paid product. Patrons of the Supporter tier or higher (or who have lifetime support over $10, though you'd need to request it) would get it for free, but you'd otherwise need to buy it, either from here or on itch (the guide replacing early access on itch).
As much as I'd like to give it away, keeping myself alive is expensive, and this is what I do for a living. I couldn't afford to put months of work into something that wouldn't provide income, especially when my income is already so low.
So, knowing all that, where do you stand on the idea of a guide for Maids & Masters?
