Good work Fluffy!!!
Writing this post for Subscribestar has been a huge pain because of this site's arbitrary post file limitations making adding gifs a nightmare, take a look at the changelog for more info.

We’re partnering with our friend Kohu for music tracks in the game and to assist in development of dynamic music in Unity. She's quite capable and can create a variety of genres and styles of music and has created some great tunes already added to the demo! We hope you enjoy the new tracks!!
A matching pixel pfp I made for team members.

Here’s some more of her work -

FINALLY A MAP SCREEN!

Fluffy successfully added a viewable map screen to the in-game pause menu!!! We hope it eases exploration and makes progression a bit simpler. The OPTIONS menu has also been added to the in-game pause menu with a new difficulty setter!

Here are some new graphics!

Included with this updated demo is the Flooded Brazza zone located beneath Brazza. It’s an ancient ruin still bustling with underwater critters. Here’s the Normal Map which adds lighting detail to the diffused tilemap. Also some new environmental details like this “fairy” particle in Brazza and a simple animated plant that slows down the player and retracts when shot with rockets. It also has a red variant which deals damage to the player. I’ll experiment with ambient particles more when jumping back into Unity with my new PC.

Here’s a new idle animation for the CockHugger enemy, we've also added quality of life details like an animated computer tileset to make save rooms stand out better.

This is the new Walker enemy which encourages using the BackDash ability to pass through the energy projectile.

UPCOMING PRIVATE/BETA GAME BUILDS

The upcoming beta/private releases will include the Meteo Boss, fleshy Deep Meteo zone, and Ovifowl medium interactable enemy. When those are completed we’ll move on to fleshing out the dark spooky Quasox zone and design a new medium interactable enemy and the Flooded Brazza boss. Quasox is still conceptual and I’m creating new sketches for the environment, enemy designs, and mechanics. Stay tuned for the updated development roadmap.

Here’s a new hit-scan enemy turret and a single cell organism Lococco to be included in an upcoming private build with the new area Deep Meteo.

Here’s a wip teaser for the Ovifowl H-Animations. They’ll feature some tummy bulging ovipositor fun!

Here’s the latest Nuclear Nectar Subscribestar.adult supporter Butteredupdragon! You can find them in the background of Brazza! Consider getting a background cameo of your own and have your sona immortalized in our silly smut game! <3

Thank u Butteredupdragon!

ses vanbrubles - HARDWARE CHALLENGES

On my end of game development I’ve had to adapt to using KDE Plasma, a version of Linux on my Steam Deck which I had to switch to as my work pc. The mini pc I was using as my for game work/art had either a corrupted windows update or a hardware failure. The manufacturer support sent me all the drivers and the factory version of windows with no luck on fixing it so they suggested returning it and they’d send a replacement. I’m currently waiting for the replacement mini pc, it should arrive within a week or 2. I’ve been working with my Steam Deck on animation, pixelart, sketching, a bit of lore writing, and playtesting on Linux. Without Windows I’ve been locked out of using our game’s remote repository Source Tree and my install of Unity but I’m looking forward to jumping back into Unity on the new replacement Windows pc.

Fluffy Kaeloky - I’m tired, I love everyone, have fun!
