Dev Update #320


Scene 34
I'm almost done with the posing. I've reached shot #162, and only 11 shots are remaining on my storyboard. At that point, all the difficult poses are behind me. I should be able to complete the posing of Scene 34 on Monday.
I finally decided not to do a second animation for that scene. The only spot where I could have fitted an easy loop was a complete reiteration of the first loop. I felt like it was a useless repetition. Also, to be honest, I'm feeling the limitations of my hardware. With about 15 days of rendering on the current loop, I have very little room for improvisation and error when it comes to animations. It simply takes too much time to render.
Speaking of which, I've rendered 108 frames out of the 150 that compose that loop. I'll need another 4 or 5 days to finish it. The image quality looks okay to me. I hope that the loop will be good enough to justify the time I've spent on it.
Next week will most likely be dedicated to coding. I have some work left on scene 33, and I have to bring scene 34 into the script and send it to my proofreader. I will most likely handle the post-processing of scene 33 while I'm at it, and test it in-game.

  • Scenes 33, 34, and 35 have been written.
  • Scene 33 is fully posed and rendered.

  • 364 shots are planned, 353 are posed, 245 are rendered
  • 1 animation is planned and posed. 108/150 frames are rendered.
  • I'm currently posing scene 34.
