[News] What we did this week!
Hello everyone!
This week was extremely hectic on the programming and animation side, but we had to make a little pause on the writing and quest implementation side. Both to wait for the poll results and also to make several patches and tests on what the programmer was working on regarding the game settings.
To give you a better grasp of what we've been doing, imagine that the way the game settings worked before was by saving what the player chose and putting it in a .sav file. This created inconsistencies when loading the game and also caused crashes if there was any issue with your PC's compatibility with Directx 12, instead of selecting the compatible Directx automatically. This is why many people had problems loading the game, and sometimes the issue could only be solved by forcing the executable to run in Directx 11.
So we've been fixing it to work the proper way, where the game settings are stored in the configuration file (an .ini) that appears in the game's folder inside AppData. The goal is to make the game compatible with both Directx 12 and 11 so people who currently have crashes can open the game, even if some features like Lumen are disabled.
The project is old, so we've faced many challenges this week because the code didn't fully adapt to Unreal 5. But we finally managed to figure out a workaround, and we did a successful build this weekend that sets the game to Directx 11 on launch. Now what is left to do is fix the .ini, and hopefully, we'll no longer have crashes on launch and will also have a much more consistent saving of your options when you play the game.
Team Expansion
On top of all that, we've also made some job postings to expand our team and bring in a new programmer. We interviewed several people and are close to settling on a new member who will work on improving gameplay while Henrique focuses on the NPC Manager so we can later make the quests and combat more consistent.
New Animations
Sergey wrapped up a pack of 12 new romantic animations (between new poses and interactions) and will be expanding the list even further this month. He first worked on straight animations, and now he'll work on the lesbian ones. So if you have ideas, now is the perfect time to write them down!
Quest and Poll Results
The quest related to how Nemesis and Kalyskah meet during the prologue won the poll if we sum up the votes from both our Patreon and Subscribestar!
It doesn't mean the others won't be implemented, just that in the order of priority we'll have Nemesis, then Guard Captain Brooke, then Ilreth's quest. Ilreth won the poll here so don't worry, we'll try to get to this quest as fast as possible before we head back to the non-erotic ones.
Judging by the results on quest mechanics that won this poll, we'll make so the next few quests we work on feature more erotic content, balancing a good number of lesbian and straight scenes before we move forward with the non-erotic side of the plot.
Final Thoughts and Steam
Due to the issues related to the game settings that were causing crashes, we pushed the Steam release back to the first trimester of 2026. This time that’s the final deadline for the beginning of Early Access.
Thank you all for your support and have a great day!
