TL;DR: This update adds full main menu settings, a shader overhaul, a HUGE piercing upgrade (including body piercings), and a full body pilosity system with multiple body areas, custom color, and mod support!
AND, for the first time in about 15 months, Linux and Mac builds are back! If you're on either platform, please report any issues. That would help a lot. Now, let’s dive into the changelog!
LUCID LUST v0.5.5
New Main Menu Settings
- Made part of the configuration file fully editable in-game, with full runtime editing support
- No need to restart or manually edit the config file for key settings
- Added 5 quality sliders (hair, AA, texture resolution, filtering, SSGI)
- Added 3 shadow sliders (resolution, quality for directional + micro shadows)
- Added 8 toggles to quickly enable or disable common settings (SSAO, SSR, SSS, etc.)

Both Character Creators
- Revamped the piercing system to allow a better 1:1 following of characters
- Added 13 new piercing shapes (for a total of 94)
- Added UI pictures for piercing materials
- Improved skin and mouth shaders with enhanced SSS
- Revamped teeth shader with SSS, gradient translucency, detail mask, and specular variation
- Reworked how colors were working with mouth shaders (teeth, gums, and tongue)
- Added dynamic specular highlighting to eyebrows
- Lowered eyebrow bump cap to 100% (specular system provides natural depth)
- Added eyebrow gloss and specular intensity as adjustable parameters
- Added pilosity's Fresnel-based rim lighting (to simulate peach fuzz)
- Added pilosity's view-angle-dependent opacity variation
- The sun is now fully rotatable in all directions for better material preview

Skin Category
- Added 13 body details options (wrist scars & body veins)
Breast Category
- Added 10 piercing zones (5 for each nipple)
Bottom Category
- Added 34 piercing zones (31 genitals + 3 navels)
Pilosity Category
- Added 5 pilosity categories (arms, armpits, body, legs, and feet)
- Added full mod support for those 5 new categories
- Added 7 pilosity options
- Added body pilosity color
Lucid Man Creator
Eyes Category
- Added 2 Eyes Shapes sliders (Eyeball Sizes)
Pectorals (NEW)
- Added 6 Pectoral Shapes
- Reimplemented nipple style and added 30+ new ones
- Added 37 nipple shapes
- Added both nipple rotations
- Added nipples filter + opacity support
Butt Category (NEW)
- Added 12 Butt Shapes sliders
Scenario Creator
- Replaced the old "wetness" slider with the new "wet" and "moist" sliders
Bug Fixes & QoL
- Fixed the lip sync preview button not working properly since the last update
- Fixed the card's camera being bugged with some animations + expanded its maximum height
- Fixed several Scenario Creator issues, including hair not working properly
- Fixed Scenario Creator free camera gimbal lock by adding X-rotation clamping
- Removed deprecated preview stuff from the Scenario Creator
- Added a text shader fallback for people having issues with the text not always appearing
- Fixed the Male teeth shapes not working correctly
- Fixed default pubic color being white (made it black, like the new pilosity categories)
- Added a "hide piercing goal" tab to the Nose category (Girl only)
- Made the piercing goal sphere more accurate
- Fixed the piercing goal sphere sometimes showing outside of a piercing menu
- Fixed some main menu text and added interactable text to open the scenarios folder
- Updated the main menu credits
To keep the in-game credits clear and readable, they now list supporters who have contributed $10 or more (lifetime total). This change is also reflected in the $5 tier, which now includes the phrase “(if supporting for more than a month)”.
