-The Fox Chieftain and village gave Miss Walters a tour and a feast, a fitting homage to their folk hero.

-The children and elderly cordially took her hands and ushered her into the grand halls.

-The halls were filled with enchanting songs and dances, telling stories of hope and of the sorrow from those taken away by the rival Hunter's Guild.

-Miss Walters was humbled, as the past exotic heroism they praised was actually attributed to the fur suit's past life. She was merely a forced passenger at times, bound by duty in the human world.

-Miss Walters hoped she would live up to their expectations during her brief stay.

-Puckered out by the tribal reunion, Miss Walters retired at the local bathhouse and guest cabins for some clean rest.

-As Miss Walters dried off, she mulled over her notes on the current situation.

-If the missing people were kidnapped, there would be signs of a struggle or forced entry. If they had run away, they would have likely left a note or taken their prized possessions.

-"Hmm, maybe they didn't want to be found?" With that thought, she couldn't shake the feeling she was being watched.

-Double-checking through her window's curtains, she noticed familiar masonry and meticulously polished exotic statues by the poolside, as well as scratching noises from the bed next to her.

-Suddenly, a scent of pressed laundry and rancid blood on iron hit her nose. Two females appeared from a secret passage, greeting her with a curtsey.

-"Well, if it ain't my favorite trouble-maid-ers? No wonder why everything here is so meticulously clean and exotic." - Miss Walters

-"Sorry, sometimes my shoes really put me in the mood," Sophie said.

-A faint buzzing sound could be heard between Sophie's legs as she compulsively cleaned, giggling softly with Molly's approval.

-Molly, having heard rumors of possible kidnappers, eagerly offered her butcher knife for the task. Miss Walters was appreciative but cautiously deferred the help, as it would be messy paperwork trying to justify how turning a bad guy into a pile of tactical mincemeat was necessary.

-Sophie knew it would be easier to convince a lion to become a vegan than to deny Molly a possible kill.

-Like a moth to a flame, Sophie's boredom longed to see Molly spark into action.

-With patient devotion, Sophie waited for the tense banter to die down before presenting the clues she had discovered during her routine cleanup: a big pile of fur shedding and recently soiled bed sheets with "love juice."

-In short order, Miss Walters, Molly, and Sophie began searching the last cabins for the possible missing people.

-Miss Walters knocked on one of the cabin doors and was greeted by a familiar face: Tashk, a sporty tentacle pimp monster whom Miss Walters had tried to interrogate long ago. They had put aside their "sexy differences" in a bout and were now mutuals.

-"Oh. Good to see you. What are you doing here, Tashk? We're looking for some missing people; you haven't noticed anything suspicious around here?" Miss Walters inquired, offering him a cigarette and a light.

-Tashk's tentacles promptly grabbed Miss Walters's entire cigarette cartridge. Each arm twitched with delight as he took a drag.

-"I already had my fun at the Gorgon's Manor. I just needed a break from uptight rules and creepy maids, so I'm just chilling here as a guest." - Tashk

-As if on cue, Molly Maid walked into view behind Miss Walters, giving Tashk a sharp, piercing smile that made him feel uneasy.

-Tashk nervously stampeded while closing the door, suggesting they might want to check out some "love birds" hiding out in the attic next door.

-He was gone like a puff of smoke before Miss Walters could even thank him for the information.

-The next cabin door was slightly a jarred. Instead of knocking Miss Walters lean against the threshold discreetly with her furry ears.

-Two young lovers were making out up in the cabin's loft. Professing their secret aspirations as things got more steamy.

-A Foxy Shelley plants a concerning kiss on the young hunter's head.

-"Theron, how long can we keep meeting like this? The village are starting to get suspicious. What if we get caught? -Shelley

"I don't care how obsessed Grandpa Hunter is with preserving the old ways. As long as he thinks I am hunting furry pelts, it means I get to spend more time with you." -Theron

-"AH! You are so sweet. We'll keep making love not war, just like the fables of Old Foxy." Shelley cooed as she embraced Theron's warmth.

-"I am flattered, but secrets tend to get people hurt or killed." Miss Walters strolled in, looking up at the two.

-Shelley was startled and flustered, trying to adjust her clothing.

-Theron shielded her body from prying eyes with a drawn knife in hand, demanding to know who was there.

-Before Miss Walters could answer, an enthusiastic Jade jumped in, quickly introducing the search group waiting outside the cabin.

-They were in luck. If anyone could understand their situation, it would be Old Foxy / Miss Walters herself.

-The two lovers were honored to meet the hero who had inspired naughty adventures.

-However, going by the stories, they had always imagined her to be more jovial and carefree and were disappointed by her strict demeanor in person.

-Fearing the consequences, the lovers were reluctantly escorted back home.

-Theron knew that the descendants of the hunter guild prided themselves on the hunt and the fables of flaying Old Foxy as a trophy.

-But the younger generation had secretly defied their elders' wishes in the woodland cabins at night, choosing forbidden love over fighting.

-Grandpa Hunter and the guild, steeped in the old ways, were enraged at the failed kidnapping and skinning of their furry rival's kin.

-They demanded that their honor be settled through a traditional combative game of "Hunter Hoops" to determine the champion.

-Relief at being around understanding friends quickly turned to panic. The young lovers realized they had been thrust into another gambit, with only Miss Walters and their allies as their shield against dogmatic traditions.

-Molly's hand itched on her blade, eager to sign up as champion and even more so to instigate a battle to settle things more quickly.

-Before Molly could exchange a blow of words with Grandpa Hunter, Miss Walters coolly stepped in and pulled Molly and Sophie aside.

-She provided them with clear instructions for the Gorgon's Manor maids to fashion garbs out of some of the fur shedding they had found that day.

-Molly took a deep breath before biting her tongue and withdrawing with a curtsey into a portal. The two maids were steadfast in their duty.

-They recruited seamstress Kasey and converted their Plaster-o-matic to a rapid-fire loom to fulfill the urgent order.

-With her old friend Foxy already having been sacrificed and flayed, Molly was a willing but absent champion.

-Jade didn't want the young lovers to be drafted and traumatized again. She nervously clutched her tail and bravely stepped forward.

-Jade offer herself as the ante to be skinned if their new selected champion failed.

-Miss Walters and the Hunter Guild agreed to the terms. A mysterious champion would be present by the next dawn to settle this dispute.
