About Time and Long Overdue...
It took a while to finally decide one where I could manage to squeeze a little recording "nook" into my existing space, but I managed to do just that. I'm quite happy with how it turned out and wanted to share it with you!
And for anyone who is interested in a bit more of the "tech-side" of the setup... What I was recording with:
And for anyone who is interested in a bit more of the "tech-side" of the setup... What I was recording with:
- Logitech Blue Yeti X
- Sitting on a desk stand with a pop filter
- directly connected to computer via usb
- at my work desk
What I am now recording with:
- Rode NT1 Signature Series Microphone
- on an SM6 Shockmount with a pop filter
- connected to a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 usb audio interface
- at a separate workstation surrounded
- with foam dampening panels.
All-in-all, it is quite the upgrade and even if the difference is subtle, I've still be very pleased with the outcome and even just having a space dedicated to doing this. It really helps but me in a focused mindset when I sit down to brainstorm, record and respond ❤️
*nodding nodding* It’s soooo good! I really really love this clean and cozy vibe! And I can totally tell you put a lot of care into creating a space where you can truly focus and create. But now, out. This is my workstation now lol.(^^;;
Hehe we can find a way to work here at the same time 😏 and it was quite a process both on terms of planning and execution, but it's working great for me.
Wow Daddy! This looks so cool! You listing all the tech aspects of your set up is basically a foreign language to me, but your new set up really looks professional! This is so exciting 🥰
Thank you! I'll be honest I didn't really understand a lot of the hardware and had to do so much research. Thank you for checking it out, princess! 😘
Quite an upgrade! Congrats on the new tech, you already had a pretty good setup, but now, you can record those filthy scenarios in style ahah. How long did it take you to put this up?
Thank you! I've gotten quite a bit of positive feedback on the sound quality too which is extremely rewarding. And there was a lot of planning involved. Probably a full day to move around my office another half day or so to build the right "wall" (it is actually something I put against a desk to divide the room into two distance spaces. Then a few hours for the tiles. That part was actually really enjoyable though, seeing it all come together in real time akd knowing I was so close to being done!
