Tier Changes (doodle changes)
Haio! I mentioned in the June Retrospective that I'm planning to make some changes to Subscribestar tiers.
The first of these is separating Supporter and Doodle Tiers. I'm making doodles officially 5-10 minutes instead of 5 minutes (since they basically were never 5 minutes to begin with X3) and also changing them to be a separate $10 tier.
For critters that are already getting doodles from me; for at least the next couple of months you will continue to get doodles <3 I'll phase that out slowly, but new supporters will have to be on the Doodle tier or above to request them. I've also limited the doodle tier to 20 supporters at a time (I might raise this as I get more parts of the pawcess streamlined).
This change is both a way to keep doodles from growing out of control (I don't want to have so many doodles lined up that it gets in the way of other drawing projects), and a way to make prices more sustainable, and allows me to finally have a Subscribestar tier where more critters joining it doesn't mean more work for me X3
If you're on any of the Regular tiers above the Doodle tier, that'll be included in your subscription.
Changes to the Regular tiers
I'm also planning on setting up new tiers for regular subscriptions that are 1:1 with my current prices - that still include the lower tiers. That'll make it easier for me to open up more slots on those tiers without feeling like my prices are dropping lower than I can sustain. Even though they won't offer a discount on actual commission prices now, they'll still include the Doodle tier and early access, so you'll still be getting a $10 discount overall.
I am still thinking through the best way to handle this - I want to give critters on those tiers the chance to move over first because they will pawbably be limited slots. So I need to think of the best way to handle that transition. Like with the doodles, price changes won't happen immediately, there'll be a transition period before I shut down the old tiers.
I am also working on a way to track how much time you have available through your commissioner index page, to make it more clear that the time you get through Regular tiers can be used for anything or combined with other projects, and that it doesn't expire if you go through a month without asking for anything.
As always, I'm open to feedback
If you have a concern that I haven't thought about or a suggestion or tip, feel free to let me know <3
Sounds good! Gotta make sure you're at a sustainable income or how else will we continue getting so much glorious art from you.
