FUTURE PLANS - 0.6 UPDATE
With 0.5FULL finally released, it's time for us to set our sights on what comes next.
Before that though, I must thank everyone who made the effort of getting their hands on the update early. Up to now the reception of 0.5 has been pretty awesome, and I've been been overwhelmed by the amount of support I've received. Thank you very much!
0.6 will be special in a few ways. 0.5 was the largest content update I've ever released, and it's set large expectations in terms of content for the future, and, first and foremost, for myself. I intend to do even better for 0.6, and despite the challenges I'll have to face (like, preparing the damned school update :') ), I intent to make AHITD much more fun, and as you'll see on this post, to bring my art to the next level.

Horniness system for housemates
This is meant to be the bulk of the work done on 0.6. Every family member will have their own personal horniness bar, which will dictate how they behave around the house. This allows for new events and the branching of existing ones that dynamically change according to how horny one or several family members are. This also justifies events and actions which have for sole purpose making some girls horny ¬‿¬
To prevent immersion-breaking behaviors, as in, having Riley do the celtic dance in full gimp-suit in the middle of the living room 2 in-game days in, the horniness values will be hard-capped. You'll get to make your roommates hornier through everyday actions, but you'll have to make them sluttier throughout the story.

Animated scenes

I already know what you're thinking. "What, isn't that Shadowheart from the award-winning Baldur's Gate 3 game?"
Yes, it is. I was going to go into lengthy explanations of why I made that animation without using an AHITD character, and how I went back into Blender... But this isn't the time or the place, I'll explain everything in detail on the first progress report of 0.6, on the 1st of August. But long story short, I needed to use a character with a rig I knew I could trust, so I could learn animation EXCLUSIVELY, without having to worry about any other technical stuff.
The big news are: proper animations are probably coming in the near future, and you can expect the occasional Blender render here and there. This may also be the beginning of a complete switch to Blender in the not-as-near future, if I manage to build a workflow that's as efficient as the one I have with DAZ.
Emily content

Now this is where I have to caveat a little. Emily's been in dire need of content for a long time, some of it's been written for a while too, actually. Yet, I'm still probably not going to have time to give her a full introductory quest (like I've done for Eve in 0.5) just now.
Emily doesn't just need story events, she's also the character with the smallest amount of scheduled scenes. She barely has any, in fact. So before I even think about working on main story events, I have to give her stuff to do around the house. I probably won't resist giving her a small quest on top of that though, so Emily lovers can relax.
Anyway, that's where it gets complicated.

Complicated
You may notice there aren't many items on this 0.6 highlights list. That's because those are only the most urgent (and interesting) items out of a way bigger list composed of not-that-much-less-urgent things I need to do. The most pressing of which is preparing the school update, because if I skip doing that, 0.7 is going to take a year to complete.
To make this issue clearer, let me tell you what I need for a complete school update.
First, I need to make (that is, write, render, and code) all the scenes that lead the characters to go back to school. Then, make all the scenes that introduce the school. That is, the scenes where the sisters discover the school, meeting all the teachers, students... All the new characters, basically. And then, design and code the systems to support actually being at school (the school will have its own simpler free roam mechanics). AND THEN, make a few scenes to make the school at least somewhat interesting from the start, because the player is supposed to spend 4 days out of 7 a week at school (Wednesdays and weekends are at home), there needs to be things to do. Also, if I spend time and effort to make a whole new locations with character and stuff, I might as well make it fun from the start...
So yeah, that's on top of all the things I've been meaning to add to the game, like the gallery, the doorbell system (to allow more random events), adding actual movie images to Angelina's movie night... And let's not forget poor Piper Pressman (the weather lady) who's been in the game since 0.3 and only ever had 3 lines of dialogue, LOL!

Sounds good. The approach is solid, better to get those major systems in, and then work on everything else that needs doing, because without a good framework it'll all crash down anyway, and no one wants that
