An oni (鬼（おに）) (/ˈoʊniː/ OH-nee) is a kind of yōkai, demon, orc, ogre, or troll in Japanese folklore. In more recent times, oni have lost some of their original wickedness and sometimes take on a more protective function.
Many Japanese idioms and proverbs also make reference to oni. For example, the expression "Oya ni ninu ko wa oni no ko" (親に似ぬ子は鬼の子) (Translation: "A child that does not resemble its parents is the child of an oni.")

I'm truly sorry if i have butchered any Japanese folklore in my ignorance, an Oni seemed like a good entity to violate the serenity of a hotspring and ensue shenanigans with. The second half of this sequence is taking a little longer than planned, wanted to re-shoot the angles so there was more of the pretty onsen that i took so long to set up in the background, and I wasn't quite sure where to go with it. Will post tomorrow.

I know it's not meant to be the focus, but the set is brilliantly done. The way the light plays on the surface of the water, the wispy threads of steam, and the subtle blanket of snow all really make the composition pop.
I have a lot of fun with the backdrops when I can, a good story can be let down by a poor quality set and it does take time to set up just right with good lighting. In part two the focus is going to be on really making the girls pop. Hm.. I should add a poll.
