I really wanted to have Mrs. Clausās Candycane done by this week, but I am in the hospital. So please send good vibesš.
I was admitted today and we are trying to rule out appendicitis. They got me on antibiotics in the hopes of avoiding surgery.
I havenāt eaten since 10 PM yesterday, so I never thought Iād be so damn grateful for plain broth and apple juiceš
(as allowed by the liquid-only diet per Doctorās Orders - title of my next audioš¤š¤Ŗ).
Hey, at least I now have a private room and am catching up on some reading! Silver liningš
. I wanted rest and now it seems I will be forced to get it!
I already scheduled the release of the full Futa Ice Queen episode (parts 1-2 were removed from PH for being too dubby). So at the very least youāll get that this month!
Weāll have to wait and see if I need surgery or if I can sit at the computer afterwards in order to edit/sound design Mrs. Clausš¤š¤, but Iāll likely need bed rest. My hope was to finish Mrs. Clausās Candycane in time for the seasonal PH contest, but thatās really in Fateās hands nowš¤·āāļø.
Darn vestigial organs getting all cranky!
If I end up needing surgery, Iāll let yaāll know Iām alive in the Chat tab and the Comments here when I have enough cohesionš

If it turns out I need a lot of time to recover, letās say into January or something, Iāll set my accounts to Vacation Mode and you wonāt be charged. Or you could gift me a laptop on Throne so I can record in bed, lolš! Or we will figure out some other alternative involving live audiobook readings on Discord or something. Weāll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Update 12/04/24: So they are keeping me in the hospital another couple days to administer IV antibiotics, but I am responding to the meds wellš. It looks like surgery will not be neededš„³! But a superbug Iāve been fighting was actually the culprit, so fingers crossed that this round of antibiotics beats it. This pushes back my audio editing schedule, but Iām sure you understand that self care and health are paramount. At least I am very comfortable in a private room with my own bathroom and shower, got my iPad and phone and all the streaming services, and my tribe texting and visiting, and listening to Fourth Wing on Audibles. I wanted rest and reading and I got itš (be careful what you wish for). This means going forward I will absolutely need to prioritize my health as much (if not more) than building my creative career. This phase will be about creating balance so I can build a sustainable practice.
Update 12/06/24: Two more days of antibiotics and then I will be discharging on Sunday 12/08/24! Iāll get to decorate my xxx-mas trees and snuggle the crap outta Motoršāā¬š«š!
