It's been a little while since i have done a devlog, let's get right into it!
Lighting and performance
The lighting of the game will change again, but this time for a good reason, this change will make the game run a lot more smoother that it was before.
This makes the game lighting look prettier in some areas and improves the overall feeling of a scene. It even works in compatibility mode! Which should be a huge improvements for those who were relying on the compatibility mode to play.
Quests / Missions
I am also working on implementing the quest system in the game and trying to make a modular enough system so it works nicely with different types of quests and objectives.
This quest system will be similar to what you have on games like Cyberpunk 2077. Quests can be completed or failed and can contain optional objectives which should give enough variety and options for you to complete quests objectives in a different order depending on what you want to do for these quests.
The journal page is finally used to show your current quests! You also have the active quest objectives shown in the top-right corner of the screen so you can easily see what you need to do.

Notifications
These are small additions i have made to game interface to have three different way to show what i call notifications.
You already have seen the first type of notification if you tried to take an item and had a full inventory, which is just text that appears at the top-right of the screen.

Saves
Game saves, outfit saves and body customization saves are going to change format!
The current system create save files with a bunch of unnecessary data that aren't needed for the saved data. I'm going to improve this and make it better, at least from your perspective, as a player. I already made some tests that gave promissing results.
Inputs
Since the start of the development of the game, i wanted to have controller support.
You may have noticed small things in the interface, like having a button focused the first time you are in the main menu or pause menu or even icons for input actions. These are some of the most important things needed to do to make the game fully playable and enjoyable with a controller.
It still needs some work and should come hopefully in the 0.1.4 update.
Other platforms
I took some time to look at alternatives to SubscribeStar for those who can't pay on it or can't access it. Unfortunately i haven't found a good enough platform as an alternative yet.
"Why? Why not Patreon/Pixiv/Boosty?", you may ask. Well, take a look at their terms of services and payments processors. If you look at the terms of services of the payments processors, you'll see that:
- Paypal in my understanding needs to review the adult content in question to allow it or not (which let's be honest, they won't since Patreon banned similar BDSM game projects and artists probably because of Paypal and other payments prossessors).
- Stripe and Wise straight up refuses to have anything to do with adult content.
I am being very careful with the terms of services as i don't want to be banned in the future from these platforms.
I am still looking at alternatives and other payments methods.
