Special Announcement:

Hello everyone! Time for another update!

Lewd Town Adventures has been completed. We will release a small update later this month, fixing a lot of tiny little things, but overall nothing new or major.

It's time to talk a bit about the future plans - which we already did on multiple occasions over the past year or so.

On top of working on LTA over the past years we've also been secretly preparing for the launch of a new game. Some things are ready, but quite a bit is still in development. Some major steps have been taken but we’re not ready for prime time - yet.

TL;DR:
We’re working on the new game, we need more time and subscriptions are paused till next year.

The look of our next project

We plan to make an insane VN with an original, innovative, and inspiring story which will be visualized through very high quality renders - made in DAZ this time.

We've looked into multiple 3D rendering programs, character studios, animation platforms, and - in the end - DAZ seems to be the most versatile option going forward.
If you've ever wondered how for example LTA would look like if it were to be realistic then the next game might be interesting.

I've been learning how to use the software, doing renders, installing countless free and paid addons... but truth be told? I'm going to need more time to get as good as possible.

DAZ is a totally different ballgame from Koikatsu, and even from Honey Select... It's more difficult, time consuming, and quite the steep learning curve. Not to mention: it's hella expensive!

Progress Timeline
On top of wanting to deliver the best quality characters and solid scenes, though both Xo and I are still a bit tired from writing, rendering, and coding LTA over the past 4 years.

Don't get me wrong, we're insanely motivated and excited for the coming adventure. We're working on various things we cannot disclose as of yet... Without a doubt, there's no turning back at this point, since we've already invested a lot of cash money into licenses and computer hardware for the next project.

Though things are very much in progress, starting a new game from scratch takes time. It's not as simple as an update where we are adding onto an existing project. Plus, since we want to do everything right - in one go - it's going to take a while to really get off the ground.

We see and hear your theories, questions, hopes, and excitement. Both Xo and I are just as eager and thrilled to create something that reaches the success level of LTA and far surpasses it.

That's why we are asking you to be patient, and have faith in our drive to make something unlike any other game you've ever played. Something so cool and fun, wild and hilarious, dramatic and intense, that it puts the most impactful moments of LTA to shame. It's a tall order, but we guarantee we will do our best to surpass even our own expectations.

We need to take it slow for a bit, prepare more, study more, make sure everything will be good, we'll be back with as much detail as we can in January.

So what now?
I'm pausing all subscriber billing from today through January.
We can still accept direct donations, but everyone who is currently subscribed will not see any payments for Jamleng Games' SubscribeStar.

I feel it's not fair to charge any subscriber for the still-somewhat-learning-phase/early development. We’ll give you a heads up once we feel sufficient progress has been made.

What can you tell us about the new project?

With the level of writing, the quality of storytelling and animations in LTA, we've set the bar very high for ourselves going forward. We're aiming to create something truly unique and special.

The story will be fresh, with realistic/lifelike renders. The characters are actively being developed though no more 50+ love interests, lol. We’ve toned that down.
Every word, render, and animation will be of high quality. The sandbox will disappear though there will be a bunch of free roam sections. Choices will remain impactful.

Our game design document is growing on a daily basis and we’re planning as much ahead as we possibly can.

We plan to focus on quality over quantity. We will not settle for poor lighting, bad writing, or broken code. We will tinker around, test things out, and find what works best, what plays smoothly, and only give you the best possible end result.

Will the new game be free?

It will be free though every asset, character, piece of clothing, background, tools, and each object a person can use, hold, or come into contact with costs us real cash to get ahold of. Everything needs to have the proper license bought. Neither of us are swimming in vaults of gold coins… but we’ll make it work.

Due to the constant additional cost of bringing in new environments and character elements, our goal is to start off in the red and break even rather sooner than later, and hopefully doing well enough to survive. Ultimately, we plan to have the game sold on Steam and other markets at a reasonable/competitive price point.

We'll also be obligated to pay our upcoming employees, maintain and buy new equipment, pay taxes, and of course pay ourselves.

We're certain with the reputation we have built in Lewd Town, we should be able to achieve our goals of financial stability for the game, for Jamleng Games, and for the two of us.

Is it still only going to be 2 of you?

No. Being half a world apart physically, Xo (remotely) and I will work together to expand and train our team during the initial stages of production. Our goal is to have extra help so that - once we start releasing beta versions - we can drop new updates more frequently, consistently, without sacrificing quality.

Once we're ready, we'll share more information on this... some time in January.

Until then... Thank you very much for all the support and for believing in us.

Kind regards,

Jam & Xo
