New tiers | New benefits | Lots of details

Hi everyone,

here are the promised details on how everything will work in the future. I promise this is the last wall of text for a while.

Like I said yesterday, supporting Estate : Dominate will give you two types of benefits:

Support Level Benefits
These are the benefits you receive while you are a Subscriber.
They work just as they always have: You pledge, and you have access to the benefits listed in the tier description until you cancel.

Permanent Support Level Benefits
These are permanent benefits you 'unlock' when your total support reaches $20, and then again when it reaches $100.

This is retroactive: if you have ever pledged at any time since I published the first release, it counts for the Permanent Support Level.

Since permanent benefits don't exist on SubscribeStar, I can't fulfill them here. You will need to join the Discord server for that. It's free, quick and easy to do, and you don't have to participate there in any way if you don't want.

With the explanation out of the way, these are the complete tier descriptions of the choices you will have very soon:
--------------------
Support Level 1 | $1
  •     Access to the SubscribeStar feed with development news and preview images
  •     Membership in the private Discord community

Support Level 2 | $5
  •     Estate : Dominate updates on release day
  •     Monthly 4K wallpaper
  •     Any other bonus content I publish
  •     Access to the SubscribeStar feed with development news and preview images
  •     Membership in the private Discord community

On Patreon, there is a third choice called 'Extraordinary Support Level 2', that let's you customize your pledge however you like. Here on SubscribeStar, it is replaced by the 'Tip' feature for the time being.
Estate : Dominate is a niche game which will never find the number of supporters of more mainstream fare. That does mean that higher pledges go a long way to make it possible to develop. But no one gains anything if I restrict content, and if I don't, then setting up a bunch of tiers that all give the same benefits is pointless. Might as well make use of the 'Tip' feature and let you decide yourself how much you want to donate.

 --------------------
Whatever you decide, every $ adds up to your 'total pledge'. And at the beginning of each month, I will check these 'total pledges' and give out the following benefits and permanent Discord roles accordingly:

Permanent Support Level 1 | Total lifetime pledges of $20+
Permanent access to all benefits you receive from the SubscribeStar tier 'Support Level 1'
-> Discord membership, development news, preview images
Download of the full version of Estate : Dominate when it is finished

Permanent Support Level 2 | Total lifetime pledges of $100+
Permanent access to all benefits you receive from the SubscribeStar tier 'Support Level 2'
-> Estate : Dominate updates on release day
-> Discord membership, development news, preview images, wallpapers, etc.
Your name in the game credits (if you want)
Download of the full version of Estate : Dominate when it is finished
 --------------------

The roles will give you access to Discord channels where I post the exact same content I publish here, and you will keep the roles at least for the full duration of development on Estate : Dominate.
None of this is to say that I don't appreciate continuing support once you reach the 'Permanent Levels'. But at some point, it's simply unacceptable that you lose access to the Discord community and the current version of the game when you cancel your active pledge. Support should go both ways.

The changes will go live pretty soon. It will be a very simple process, but I'll still post a short 'transition process explainer' with a timetable beforehand.
I'll talk about the Discord changes there. Please consider joining the server if you haven't yet. One important note: Please write me a message on Discord to let me know who you are. Knowing that is the basis for everything I do there.

I hope that covers most of it. Let me know if you have questions.

All the best,
Henissart
