What's wrong and how to fix it - Vol.2

Hi everyone,

last post I talked about what's wrong, today's part is about how I want to fix it. Unless the 'why' isn't interesting to you at all, you should read 'Vol.1' if you haven't yet.

To recap: the three main areas I want to improve are 'work-life balance', 'pledge levels and benefits' and the 'subscription-only model'.
Covering everything comprehensively would require a huge wall of text. In the interest of brevity, I'll list what I'm going to do and I'm happy to answer questions in the comments or on Discord.

1. Work-life balance

I'm going to pick up a part-time job to stay afloat financially. Approx. 20h/week.
Game development will remain my focus and the goal is still to do nothing else in the long-run. I will make my time investment more dependent on the total support though and will adjust accordingly. For now, it will be 40-60h/week. If that changes, I'll tell you immediately.
To maximize the time I spend on developing game content, posts on Patreon/SubscribeStar will be be slightly less frequent and on a more variable schedule, i.e. I will post when I have something to say, not because it's Monday.
I will be online on Discord almost every day, but I will drop in and out at will and without explanation.
Urgent questions (problems with the game download/bugs etc.) will always be answered asap of course. I do read all messages/emails immediately.

2. Pledge levels and benefits
There's a huge divide in my mind between the people who support the game, and those who don't. But there's just about none between the supporter pledging $5 and the one pledging $20. Depending on where you live and your personal circumstances, the former can be a larger sacrifice than the latter. Dividing you into 'tiers' more than absolutely necessary feels wrong.
In the future, Estate : Dominate will have almost entirely flat pledge levels and benefits.

Support Level 1 | $1
Support Level 2 | $5

'Support Level 1' will provide the same benefits as the current $1 Boy/Girl tier.
'Support Level 2' will provide everything I publish.
If you want to give additional support, you can use the 'Tip' feature on SubscribeStar to increase your pledge however you like.

A full breakdown of everything, including how the transition will work, will follow in the next days.

3. Subscription-only model
To fix how temporary the benefits of supporting me on Patreon/SubscribeStar are, I'm going to introduce permanent benefits myself.
Once your 'lifetime' pledges reach certain amounts, you will retain the benefits from 'Support Level 1' and 'Support Level 2' even without an active pledge. In other words: any further support will be a 100% donation because you will have access to everything I publish anyway.
The full explanation with all details will be in the upcoming post on the new pledge levels. The permanent benefits are very closely connected to those and it will make it simpler to illustrate the concept.

The goal of all this is to make supporting Estate : Dominate as voluntary and worthwhile as possible, without promoting the unfortunately widespread assumption that downloading porn games for free is alright.
