Hello once again everyone!
Sephra again, from the drizzly shoes of Blighty, thought I'd share an update with you on what we've been doing the last couple of weeks; mostly speaking it's AI based stuff for Tib, and some preparations for it for me!
The enemies are, we're hoping, going to be much better at pursuing Amber than they were beforehand; as such it's going to look a bit silly if they just walk animation'd through the air for every which thing, so I've been giving everyone some jump/fall frames and in the process of doing so got a bit sidetracked finally giving the pharmacy worker with the blue shirt a tail and a bit of a spruce up on her many other frames; it was inevitable really, soon as I put a tail on one frame the rest were going to look out of whack, but I think if you're at all familiar with us you'll know we tend to let this drive for tweaking things get the better of us; at least now she looks better, in my opinion:

As you can see she's actually got some shading to her now, along with the tail, and generally more consistent legs and other anatomic features; fairly quick work to be done alongside these new animations but I'm happy to be able to bring the enemies up to the sort of style I'm working in nowadays, with god knows how many more hours under my belt.
Next time we'll hopefully have some video footage to show you how the AI's going to work so you can see what you think of it; its tense from what I've seen so far, knowing they're not stuck pinging back and forth between hitboxes like they were in my old attempts at enemy AI; anything more intelligent than that and I start to get nervous, but it's definitely a good addition to the feel of the game already, hopefully you'll agree when you see it!
That'll be it for me for now, we're going to go combat the SADs with some work and in my case endless Star Trek in the background; I wonder how many times a man can really watch DS9, but for now I'm blissfully unaware of my limit!
