Hypno.exe development update 2024-01-27

New Foundations

One month in and the new year is, in all honesty, looking up. At least from where I am standing.

Work on Hypno.exe has progressed significantly:

# Added

- Serialization for Programs, Stages, and Base Info.
- Added "open from library" for programs and stages.
- Added "save as" for programs and stages.
- Added Export and Import functionality for Programs and Stages

# Fixed

- Removing stage from timeline not changing active stage
- fixed playback issues, not showing first/last when jumping to end
- fixed Opening an element editor does not fill with the Element's current settings
- fixed selecting a new stage does not update the stage editor window

This means that the broad Program editing process is now complete. The full loop of creating, saving, exporting, importing, editing, and deleting can be traversed.

The next update cycle will be focused on adding some of the Element types previously implemented in 0.5, along with supporting data types like multiple colors and, with enough time, audio/image import. These last two will be the real test of the new framework as it is the heaviest data to load and unload asynchronously.

In the more "who asked" side of things, I continue to search for gainful employment, however given there have been even more mass layoffs in the industry, I worry it might be a little bit of a rough market for job hunting right now.

As always, if you want to keep up with development follow me on any of the usual places, and/or join the Discord if you are so inclined. All the relevant links can be found on AllMyLinks.
