2024: Let's do this!
Hi all and welcome to the first public update - in fact my first post - of the new year!
2023 was a challenging year for me in real life, meaning that development suffered considerably in the early months, and while I'd hoped to have 0.8 out before Christmas, I only just got 0.7 out in that time. But now I'm recharged and looking forward to this year being a better one both for myself and for development of my game! So let's talk a little about what we've got coming up.
Firstly, we have the public launch of 0.7 next week. My supporters have been enjoying the update over Christmas, and soon The Reign of Jess Part 2 will be in the wild for everyone. And shortly our illustrious School Council will convene to vote on what the focus of 0.8 will be.
Will they choose to finish the Reign of Jess in 0.8? Or perhaps they'll plump for a relationship quest, or one of the various side quests on offer, such as a new idea in which Karen buys a slave, or a new girl arrives at school from the outside world. Perhaps they'll want to continue Emily's story with a quest in which she's in trouble with the law and Missy must help her out.I'm also bursting with ideas for new side content, school events and other stuff that will happen around Sapphory City (and eventually Fivaviana.) Bad girl Emma has some fun stuff coming in which her past friendship with Missy comes back to haunt our heroine, and a major new event in the school sees a classic Jessica prank land Missy in a new kind of humiliating situation.
We still have a number of other stories in progression. Once the last part of Miss Paris's photography sessions is out, her relationship quest can start, Stacey has more tie-up shenanigans to come yet, and Abbie and Lola have new scenes planned, as do the prefects.And then there's Poppy. It will be a while yet before we can return to Poppy's story as the game needs to be into act 2 (after the Reign of Jess,) before it's possible to start it, but in the meantime, she'll be popping up here and there making life more difficult than it needs to be. Poppy is a very popular antagonist, the only one who rivals Jess, and I'm already trying to think up ways I can squeeze more content in for her outside of her 3-part arc.
We'll also be meeting lots of new characters and getting between as many of their legs as possible. 0.7 brings new girl Raquel to the Pussy Pit and Fivaviana introduces the mysterious Scarlett Raine to our tale. In the second act, we may even get a glimpse inside the Royal Palace itself.
It's going to be a great year for Missy, and I hope you're all as excited about it as I am!
