This week I’m doing something a little bit different and taking some time to promote another developer who I’ve been working with behind the scenes for some time. It’s another group dedicated to making and promoting something of substance, rather than just trying to make a quick buck. I hope you’ll read through to the end and check them out.

(Hoping to promote some other developers soon, as well, so stay tuned!)

It's not monster girls, but I digress.
Taizei Games is the group producing “Echoes of the Town,” a top-down eroge currently on DLSite and Itch io. You can grab the demo on Itch, and I highly recommend that you do. To be honest, I’m someone who normally avoids early-access games like the plague, but knowing what I do about the game and it’s development cycle, I think it’s more than worth the up-front price.
You play as Akemi, a woman returning home after some time studying abroad. You’ve inherited an old house, but also been shackled with an unexpected (and frankly, ridiculous) amount of debt.

Now, how will you go about earning the money to pay that debt back?

That’s up to you. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

There’s a lot of things to look at and do, and one of the most enjoyable things about the game is exploring every inch of the map and seeing what secrets or characters are waiting for you. The game is visually gorgeous, being a top-down RPG with a slightly angled perspective.

The game is littered with a variety of characters and the occasional bizarre scenario that keeps you on your toes. A common complaint I have with H games is that there's nothing to explore and you quickly see all there is to be scene, but EotT seems to be going in the opposite direction.

The game has a ton of H scenes, most of them animated, and the animation is nothing short of impressive.
It has a visual look and premise that really feels like something special, and you can tell the dev has put an insane amount of love and effort into it.

Having said, what are you waiting for? Check it out!
