0.5.1 Devlog 1
Hey guys. I hope you all enjoyed the last update! It had quite a bit of surprises, didn't it?
All those surprises kept me motivated, and I jumped right back into writing the day that it released! Who takes vacations, anyway? This month I've been busy: writing, writing, writing!
Event outline completed (might change a few things)
7 new events written
2 new lewd events written
a couple handfuls of renders completed
some pre-production work finished
That's a pretty broad set of bullet points, but it all goes to say that I've been pretty productive. This devlog even comes with a cool new progress picture! Ain't Nyx the hottest thing ever?
After the recent events, the crew has now found themselves back on the Agni with lots of questions and things to pursue.
What's next? There's still a bunch of writing to be done, but I'm satisfied with that front at the moment, so more focus will be on renders and animations for February. 0.5 took longer to develop than I wanted. It was pretty crazy, so I won't beat myself up about that too much. But for 0.5.1, I'm aiming for a quicker interval. It's still too early to think about that, but that's the plan for now!

State of the Game devlog
Hey everyone. Welcome to 2026. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.
First of all lets talk about update 0.5. It's almost done. Just a few more days and I will have release dates to share. It's pretty big with just under 700 renders and a loooot of words. Probably about 2-3 hours of content related to the main story progress.
0.5 is a milestone update with multiple plot points coming to an end, and many more taking their first steps. Lots of new characters, old familiar faces, and big challenges are featured here.
Since this update is so grand, I have implemented some great changes to Oppai Odyssey. First, we got a new, awesome main menu with a selection of all your favorite girls. Second, I've implemented a translation into Chinese and Spanish for those that wish to play it that way.
Third is a bit of a rework for the first few chapters, focusing on pacing changes, foreshadowing, and character growth for the Captain and crew. And with rework brings back a familiar face and mentor... Ms. Saeko returns with 5 new events spread throughout the earlier chapters, to help guide and mentor our young Captain, while enjoying the tales of his "conquests." I really enjoyed writing her and Captain's talks, and I think they bring a lot of needed character growth and time featuring the main character.
I think 0.5 is a really great update and I can't wait for you all to get your hands on it!
I want this next section to be a little bit about the state of Oppai Odyssey, and I, Cryox the creator. This year has been good, and all the storylines are tying together in an amazing way. I am so excited for the future!
But...on the other hand, support for the project is down...a lot. I took a chance three years ago and quit my job to develop OO full time, and it was growing. It felt like that risk was paying off. Support since has been declining steadily, to now sitting at around 450 subscribers, which I am so grateful for each and every one of them! If 0.5 doesn't change this trajectory, I may have to slow development and head back to an old job.
I don't want to sound like I'm begging, but I am asking to you look at the projects you support, and think that, maybe, OO could use more, so the project can see it's end.
BLAAAH. That was hard to write, but money troubles are stressful right now.
What's next? I'm tightening up the Spanish and Chinese translations and working on the android build. My list of ideas for 0.5.1 is HUGE. I am already looking forward to pushing 0.5 out just so I can start writing all the great events I have planned! Expect the changelog and release dates for 0.5 within the week!
