It's Over Already?
I still can’t believe that 2023. This year had its share of ups and downs for me, and looking back it feels like this year went by in the blind of an eye, and dragged on for an eternity. So, once again, I’d like to take a bit of time to see how far I’ve come in the last 365 days, see what I’ve done, what I couldn’t do, and share my plans for what I want to do in 2024.
I’ll get the low points out of the way first, namely DeviantArt unilaterally and permanently banning the second account I made to keep my captions and stories separate, and the flood that hit my mom’s house.
I feel like I’ve said enough on the topic of DA not communicating with their users and how vague the rules they have laid out can make a submission safe to one moderator and unacceptable to another. That was roughly two months of making sure everything was titled, tagged, and linked to the original artists properly that went nowhere fast… Getting actual warnings detailing exactly what they deemed a violation to which rule would be infinitely more helpful than the ‘a moderator deemed this submission violated this rule, which could mean five or six different things so good luck figuring out why this was rejected but the one before it that features the same subject matter is fine’. Still, with that said, the reach that DA has is undeniable, and looking at how my financial situation going into 2024… I might just have to try making an account there again, monetize some stuff, and hope for the best. I know I won’t be able to re-reupload everything again, especially characters that ‘are indistinguishable from a minor’ (love the specificity there), but I have other, other plans for that. The Mother’s Day, Futa’s Day, and Halloween caption ‘events’ were really fun for me to do too, and I’d like to try and do something like that again this year, though not so many for Mother’s Day this time.
As for my mom’s house flooding, reconstruction is slow going, but things are moving forward. Clean-up sucked because you didn’t really see the progress you made at the end of the day, but now walls are getting built and stuff, so that’s satisfying to see!
But enough of the heavier topics and mini-rants! Let’s talk about what I managed to accomplish this year. Over the last twelve months, I was able to release exactly 50 stories, 9 published short stories on my Gumroad, and 41 that were posted across my accounts. All together, these stories account for 308000 words written, which is a bit less than last year, but I’m still proud looking back on it all now. With the notes, outlines, and captions I’ve written, that number is likely much higher too, so nothing to be ashamed of at all. And, of course, there are still several of the paid commissions I have yet to find time to post that I wrote too. Though I never got a chance to take any new commissions this year, hopefully my plans don’t get derailed again in the new year and I can take on some before January is done. I’d also like to thank the commissioners that waited so patiently for me to get to their commissions once again. It took me far too long to fulfill your orders, but I hope they were worth the wait.
But with us now moving on to matters of the future, as mentioned above, I do plan on opening commissions again soon, and I am waiting on about five different book covers I’ve commissioned for some stories to go up on my Gumroad store.
Also, if I can, I’ll likely start posting non-commissioned, original stories that I write on Gumroad for free for people who prefer to read in a PDF format. This also means I’ll go back and convert some of my older original stories into PDFs as well. I hesitate to do so for the fanfictions I’ve written, mainly due to copyright issues, which is why, for now, it’ll just be my original stories.
Other than that, I don’t think I have much more to talk about. I’ll be starting on the Lunar New Year story soon, with Hare ‘taking care’ of Rat until handing her off to Dragon, and I have a couple more surprises for everyone. Those will come out either before the year’s over or shortly into 2024, depending on how quickly I can finish them.
Thank you all again for the support you’ve given me. I’ll continue to put my all into writing stories you all enjoy, and I think my goal will be to write stories that will get more comments and reviews! I don’t like asking or pressuring people into commenting on my stories, but I also won’t know what works and what doesn’t if I don’t get any feedback. So, don’t be shy to tell me exactly how you feel about my stories, and I’ll see you all in 2024 for 366 days of fun!

What a Wild Year!
Here we are with another year coming to an end. Before we start 2023 properly, I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on what I’ve accomplished this year, discuss plans for the coming year, and once again voice my gratitude for everyone that has supported me so far, and into the future.
This was a challenging year for me, especially near the beginning, with me catching covid in January and having to re-upload my entire library of stories and captions on DeviantArt. Thankfully, it seems that my new account is doing well and growing consistently. This wouldn’t have been possible without all of you and the support I’ve received from everyone. Thank you all again for taking the time to read my stories, leave comments, and everything else, big and small. To all my subscribers and customers, I extend an extra special thanks for your financial support, without which I wouldn’t have been able to leave my old full-time job to focus on writing instead.
In addition to having to re-upload all my old stories to a new DeviantArt account, I’ve recently made an account on both FanFiction.net and Archive of Our Own and just finished uploading all my stories that either site will accept on them. All my stories have been proofread and corrected using Grammarly, so a lot of errors have been eliminated from them, hopefully leading to a more pleasant and less confusing reading experience. While I was at it, I updated the stories posted on my DeviantArt and Eka’s Portal accounts too but had to skip doing so for my Giantess World account because of how long that would have taken. I hope more people will be able to find and access my stories with this wider range of accessibility and continuing on into the future will be uploading all stories appropriate to each site accordingly.
However, on the subject of my upload schedule, and in relation to my workload in general, I’ve come to the realization that I have slowly taken on more obligations than I can reasonably finish as quickly as I would have liked. In 2022, I wrote and posted a total of 44 short stories publicly, totaling just over 316000 words. I feel quite proud of this achievement, however, at the beginning of the year I expressed my intention to start writing non-erotic fiction stories, and I have been unable to make any progress on that front with all my commitments on this side of things. With four more paid commissions that I need to complete, which combined is roughly another 40k words, as well as the monthly commissions for my highest tier subscribers and the monthly poll stories, even trying to write and publish stories on my Gumroad store has stalled as I play catch up. So while my initial plan was to re-open commissions sometime early in 2023, I ask that those who are waiting for that time to please bear with me just a bit longer.
Though, speaking of my Gumroad store and the stories published on it, first I want to thank everyone that purchased and read the ‘Stronger than You’d Think’ trilogy. I was blown away by how popular it was and how well it sold. I’d also like to apologize for the poor artwork for the cover of ‘You Canceled Lunch!?’. The artist I commissioned backed out last minute and I thought I could make something for it myself… I plan to try to commission someone else to make a new cover for it, but I have so much on my plate at the moment, it’s difficult to find the time. Hopefully, I can put out more short and longer-form stories in the coming year. I have several projects on the go, so I should have something to announce soon™.
I think that about covers my thoughts moving into 2023. Finishing the commissions, keeping on top of my obligations, and publishing more stories. I’ll have to start working on the Lunar New Year story for this year soon, featuring Tiger and the torment she put Rat through before passing her off to Hare… which will ultimately push back a commission or two…
But for now, thank you all again for all the support! I’m hoping this will be another great year with more ups than downs, and that I’ll be able to produce even more stories than before!
