A Vacation Mode enabled

A bit of a long message, but one I am now ready to share. Big irl changes are coming and I know not where this path will lead, but it would be really cool to have you along for the ride.

Hey everyone. Let me preface this by saying this is no April Fools post.
As you have most certainly noticed, I haven't been active in general as of late. Part of it has been irl business keeping me busier than usual, but there's also been a general feeling of burnout and frustration that has permeated into everything, including my art.
Getting so many followers and peole who are willing to support my work has been amazing but, tending to lean on the insecure side of things, I often find myself having to manage impostor syndrome and imaginary expectations that I create in my head based on what makes numbers on social media. I thought focusing more on requests while leaving the rest of my time open for whatever would be a good way to ease my usual workload, as opposed to tackling multiple things at the same time as I had been doing up until now. The result was me focusing so much on requests that I started putting my own projects and ideas aside; don't get me wrong, I enjoy working on requests, but when that's all I end up doing over a long period of time, it starts feeling stagnant and unfulfilling.
Thus, I'm gonna be taking April off from taking subscriptions so I can focus on as many of my own ideas as possible without the excuse of "Oh, but I got this reward I gotta finish first!". I wanna make art for my bday, draw some Ocs that haven't been around for a while, go back into MxS, all that good stuff. I'll still be drawing, I'll still be posting, just not taking any money for it and, when I do come back to requests, I hope to be in a better headspace with newfound momentum.
Oh, and here's the comic WIP for March. I apologize that this is all I managed to draw for now, but I genuinely wanna finish it and make it look as good as I can. It may not look like it, but I really like this idea and want to see it finalized.

Hello again! I am back and ready to tackle this venture again! As I said in my New Year's post, there's gonna be some changes and some things that will remain the same around here, so I'd like to give you a detailed breakdown of each choice I've made.

1.- GOALS
First things first! The goals have been updated! Frankly, the first set of goals I had were based on estimates and admittedly naïve for what I hoped to accomplish. Having had a stable day job for two years now with actual monthly expenses, I now had the real numbers I would need to make this work. Thus, I went back to the drawing board, ran my calculations and redefined my goals to fit the reality of things. The objectives are quite similar, but the numbers much higher than before. I was going to have to put the work in, anyway, so I'll do my best to stay positive as I shoot for new heights!

2.- TIERS & REWARDS
In case you were wondering, no, these will have no significant changes. You will still get early access, full quality exclusivity and requests at higher tiers. Most significant change will be that I will allow some things to go public independently of tiers and rewards. You see, one of my favorite things about sharing my art is the potential for it to be seen by many, and I've veered away from making subscriber-exclusive content because I want my work to be seen by as many people as possible. Thus, the following are now exempt from the tier system:trends, memes and random doodles (because it makes no sense to keep them paywalled anyway), as well as WIPs up to the line art phase. The latter is so everyone gets to see what I'm doing at any given time and encourage traffic to this page, since I will post full WIPs on here only. I will post teasers elsewhere, but people will have to come here to see the entire thing, and anything further than line art will be walled behind bronze and up so as to not share too much before posting the completed works.

3.- MOM X SON STILL BANNED
Probably the big one, at least where content is concerned: MxS will remain a no-go for requests. I am aware that people like these characters and that they really want to see them get together and fuck already, but I have a story planned, and every moment I tried to figure out how to tackle a reward to make it not interfere with/contradict those plans was time I spent not working on the actual story I wanted to tell. So yeah, I'm still making MxS, just no longer allowing them for requests.

4.- NEW APPROACH TO DRAWING
Now for an experimental point: I'll no longer try and force myself to post at least one complete illustration per week. That shit was exhausting to keep up on top of the rewards and my Awoo Monthly series, and it resulted in some of my least favorite pieces of work. So, rather than focusing on how many finished pieces I'm posting, I'm going to focus on what I want to post and set individual goals on that until that work is finished. The idea is that this will allow me to take on longer projects without worrying about whether I have publicly posted lately or not, with monthly rewards making sure that I'm still producing finished content on the regular. Got a few things I want to work on already, so we'll see how this one turns out!

IN CONCLUSION
2023 was pretty crazy, both regarding and independent from this whole art venture. But, even though burnout set in and I crumbled under the pressure, I've taken it as a learning experience.
The tl;dr is that I've updated my monetary goals to reflect my reality, rewards and pricing will remain largely the same and I'll tackle art in a different way to be able to tackle on MxS again, as well as larger projects.
Thank you so much for your support and patience as I figure things out. It really is difficult for me to tell the line between being transparent and just throwing my own internal turmoil onto my audience, and I often go silent as a result, but every single time I post you give me love and understanding, and I appreciate that immensely. There was a time where I constantly doubted the worth of my work, and it's so easy to fall back onto old thoughts and habits, yet you all remain here, waiting for when I get my shit back together and welcoming me with open arms. I love making art, I love sharing the things I enjoy and my tastes are so varied that I sometimes get scared to lose some of you because of it; but hey, turns out weirdos like me with varied tastes like mine exist out there! So, if that's the kind of thing you like, if I'm what you're looking for, then rest assured that I'll keep coming back with new stuff for you to enjoy.

Hey everyone. This is a PSA post to announce that I'm going to be pausing all billing for the month of December, at least.
I hoped to take November easy, mostly focusing on rewards and doodling whatever on the side but, as it turns out, you can't exactly choose your emotional highs and lows, especially when you're not doing all that great to begin with. I'm doing better, but still not at my best on the artistic side of things, which is why I'm taking December off from any official activities here. I will probably still draw and post things because it's what I love doing and I couldn't step away from it even if I wanted to, but it will just be chill doodles with no fear of deadlines nor the usual quality concerns I impose on myself. With that and a family vacation already scheduled around Christmas, I hope to return fully recharged on January, ready to pick up where I left off.
Oh, and don't worry about that comic reward for November, I'll be posting that in full by the end of the week. It'll be the last thing on my list before I finally step back and take some time for myself.

Hey everyone. This is going to partially be an update post and partially a PSA, so I'm making it public. This'll be a long post, so buckle up!
First and foremost, I must confess that I haven't been entirely happy with my art for a while now. This might sound weird considering my longest running work and who I've sort of officially made into my mascot, but I'm not really that big into incest, at least not in the way I once was. Truth be told, while I was happy that people liked MxS, one of my biggest fears from the very start was it becoming the one thing I'm known for and that it would cause people to expect things from me that I would never deliver to begin with.
I enjoy working on MxS comics, I really do, but I have other interests as well and I feel that every MxS reward I make feels more soulless than the last. I feel I'm no longer delivering the stories I want to tell and the passion for it just isn't there this time around. I've been staring at this comic's unfinished sketches for days now and, at least right now, I just don't feel like continuing. So, seeing that I was going nowhere, I went and sketched something themed around the spooky season and found myself having fun again. And that's when I realized I needed to come clean with you all, the people who support me and enjoy my work. I feel it would be a disservice to you if I just kept going and ended up burning out completely, giving you only half-hearted works for the foreseeable future. If you're here, it's because the passion I put into my work has reached you in some way, and if I'm not having fun with it, you probably won't enjoy it that much, either.
So, as hard as it is for me to say this, I have come to a decision: to avoid burnout, I will finish this one comic page, one way or another, but ban any further MxS requests for reward posts. I will take a break from the series for a while and come back to it with a clear head later on, fully focused on telling the story I had already planned. Also worth mentioning is that this experienced has also soured the whole incest kink for me somewhat, which is also the real reason why this month's illustration reward took as long to complete as it did. I don't want to straight out ban incest from reward posts as well, but will politely ask you to refrain from it for the time being. At most, I'm willing to allow one incest request per reward post and see how that works out.

TL;DR: I'm somewhat burnt out on MxS and incest in general, so I'm banning further MxS requests for reward posts and limiting incest requests to one per post at the most. You deserve better than the half-hearted stuff I'm able to produce in this emotional state.

Anyway, thank you for reading all that and have a look at the two things I have sketched in the past week! I don't really know where either of them is going, but hopefully I'll have something new completed fairly soon. See you around!

Hey everyone! Just here to let you know that I have a new pup named Tabitha. She's still super young and adapting to her new home, so I'm going to have to use part of my free time to train and play with her.
