Injury, Illness, & Issues:
Injury:
If you follow me on other social media, or read my author newsletter, you'll know that I rolled my ankle on Thursday and broke it. I currently have a "soft cast", aka a plaster and ace bandage, which I can't take off. I see the Orthopedic bright and early Friday morning >_< (7:30 am, which means I leave home at the LATEST 6 am).
Illness:
I don't talk about it much anywhere, but my Father in Law has a rare form of endocrine cancer which we found out about less than a year ago. He's been fighting it through "straving" it, so low to no sugar diet, and watched by doctors. He has developed a heart murmur, which is depleting his oxygen levels. The Doctor says it's due to the tumors in his liver which are releasing serotonin and stimulating the heart making it murmur and other things. He may not live another 5 years...
Issue:
We were looking into going to Michigan to visit Hubby's family the week before thanksgiving, but because of my injury, and the medical bills that will accrue because of it, we most likely won't be able to. This is making me feel increasingly guilty for 1) being a financial drain, due to Klutziness and just me being a "medical mystery" 2) for "keeping hubby away from his family". Let me be clear, NO ONE has said these things to me, I have an internal demon whispering them. It's putting a cap on my creative well as I try to market more, create more, and keep going with a brave face when all I want to do is break down and cry.
Anyway, I'm going to try to write the scene that goes with the latest artwork, I started the other day, before my injury, and it's just been "stuck" since then.
