MCAP Protect - protection for Ren'Py and RPGM games
Hello, when I developed Fleeting Iris: Ren'Py Edition, even though it was commercial software, myself and Starke at Heaven Studios knew it would eventually leak on pirate sites like F95zone for free. And that's now happened.
As a creator, it's pretty disheartening when your stuff gets distributed without your consent. So (with apologies that I've been working on this rather than on games), I have spent the last few months developing a new anti-piracy library for Ren'Py and RPGM.

My own releases already use it - you download an authorization key verified with Patreon or Subscribestar to unlock the game - and I'm now making it available to other creators. By giving creators back control of their creations, I expect that we'll see more free game demos, as creators will no longer fear piracy of their exclusive releases

And in other news, now that MCAP Protect is moreorless finished, I'm about to work on a new Ren'Py port! This one will probably be an official port, as I have begun talking to a popular game's creator who has an old version of their game in RPGM they would like in Ren'Py.
