From the past to the future
Hey folks! I'm currently working on the next project, I will talk about it in my next post, but for now, I thought that it would be interesting to show you what I previously made besides brewing trouble.
The first project I did before BT was a life sim game. It never got to fruition because it was my first experience with godot and the project became kind of a mess, I wouldn't say it's abandoned, but if I were to work on it again I would have to start it for scratch to make up with some mistakes. Still, I wanted to at least show you guys some images and gifs.
This is Kera! this cutie pie was the main character, and the game itself had a day and night cycle where you would do different activities that would make her change mood and arousal etc.
One of such activities was for example a meditation minigame where she had to keep concentration and you would be here to distract her, with some petting for example.
I worked on this game quite a bit, and even had some mini games working. But the model itself had rigging problems and other small stuf that piled up so in the end, when I made Brewing Troubles (originally for a game jam) I figured that It was best to start from scratch.
In the end what I did was mostly this model and coding systems and some games. Turns out I won't use a lot of those system but It helped me learn a lot and be way more confident with what I'm trying to do now.
Sometimes it's sad to let projects go, but in that case since there was no subribestar like this one I have now and no audience to speak off, I don't feel to bad about putting it in on the shelf, and maybe redo this one again one day? Who knows. Or maybe her model will be put to use another way, because I'm still quite proud of her appearance.
