Well, here we are, on the precipice of creation.
I never thought I’d be coming down this route once I started working professionally as a game developer. It seemed like no matter how tough a job got, there’d always be other ones out there that I could shuffle toward and keep on progressing my career. Software engineering was the safe choice, right? That’s what we were all told in the late 90s and early 2000s.
But here we are, in an ever changing world that’s rapidly spiraling into new territories. And with those changes has come a massive upheaval in technology, especially with games. The industry is rough out there, folks, and jobs are both at a premium and getting snapped up by people with decades of experience. What’s a poor fellow to do in a time like this when his career has hit a screeching halt after ten years?
Try something new, of course. Or rather, fall back on an old skill, this time with all those years of experience behind me.
And thus, here we are, at the cliff of creativity. A ledge familiar and new and more terrifying than it’s ever been before to me. With so many competent, hard working, and well known writers out there, the furry market is no less competitive than game development. The only thing there is to do, therefore, is put in the effort.
Effort that supports Action and causes Growth.
Friends, Furries, Countrymen, lend me your eyeballs; I come to praise words, not to bury them.
Welcome to the launch of Little Fox Productions. Thank you for taking your time to read this, to be here, and potentially support this endeavor. There’s a lot to talk about and discuss, so much to plan, and even more possibilities beyond all of that. So let’s start with, from my perspective, what matters most to you, the subscriber.
What are you getting out of this deal if you put your hard earned dollars toward supporting this author and coder?
The answer is simple: you’re getting early access to what I’ll be creating. You will not, however, be getting exclusive access. Eventually, everything I work on will be made public, because that’s how I want to operate and share my creations. Rough drafts, full of their typos, awful phrasing, and missing plot points will be yours to enjoy, but at the end of the day the core stories I write will be available to everyone on other platforms.
What then, you ask, am I creating?
Stories, short and long. Tools for visual novel creators. Video games that I can code up but lack the artistic skills to bring to life. This is what your money goes toward: helping me make a living and fund my projects so I can pay people to do the work that I cannot do on my own.
When will posts become available?
Scheduling! In the past, this has been a weakness of mine when it comes to writing commissions and delivery. I have lacked a schedule. To counteract this, I have devised the following release cadence.
Every Monday: If there’s a commission that has been approved, I will post the commission. If there is no commission currently in the queue that can be shared, I will post nothing.
Every Tuesday and Thursday: A 1k story, or as I call them, A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words. Some of these will be commissions, but should there be none to post, I will share old art that I have commissioned and include a short story with that art.
The First Wednesday of the Month: A story that has been in my backlog for years and that I’ve wanted to get to doing. These will likely be raunchier ones. Which story gets chosen will be open to vote in the second half of the month.
The Third Wednesday of the Month: A story that delves into deeper, sometimes harder topics. These are my attempts at bringing my English Literature background to furry. Sometimes these will follow themes, sometimes they will be part of longer novel projects, and sometimes these will also get adult.
The Last Wednesday of the Month: A random kink story, using my story icon generator tool. I’ve been using this tool to make posts so folks can see what’s in a story before clicking it, but I’ve expanded its use to include a random option, which will have it generate an icon of one to five kinks. I’d click the random button, see what comes up, and have to write a short story about it.
The Second Friday of the Month: Game Dev and Tools updates. Any coding projects I’m busy with will have their updates shared and explained here.
This is what I’m thinking for the start. I’m open to feedback on the process, especially if things go off the rails and I can not keep to my promised deliveries. But I’m feeling confident, excited, and motivated for all of this.
So if you’d like to subscribe after all of this information, all I can say is thank you. Thank you so much for being here to see my creations and let me continue to create, for me and for you.
Cheers, y’all wonderful and amazing,
Zev
