The Bretonians are a resilient people, their stamina only matched by their brawn. All some people know about them are tales of their battles and tribal antics, but at their core, they are far more than those stories. No strangers to hard work, their people are amongst the greatest farmers and builders in the galaxy and are committed to bringing peace and prosperity to their people.

Bretonians are a tribal people. In their home world, they have independent tribes that govern their respective territories. They are mostly independent to self-govern their affairs, both in-world and off-world. Since tribal leadership is centered around their home world, some off-world Bretonian groups can end up splintering into their own small tribes. This is considered a punishable offense as often these smaller groups end up engaging in illegal mercenary activities, further tarnishing the Bretonian’s image around the galaxy.

When the need for tribal cooperation arrives, a council is summoned. Formed by appointed representatives of all the main tribes, the council mediates intertribal and galactic matters. To preserve tribal rule, once the matters have been resolved and an agreement has been made between all tribes. The council is disbanded and only summoned again when it becomes necessary. To maintain further stability in their society, all the tribes are sworn to abide by a code of conduct created a long time ago by a previous council, which is further revised in summons when necessary.



PS: I am not much of a writer, and neither a native speaker, that is one of the reasons I took it upon myself to start writing these. They are good exercise and also provide a better way for you guys to follow all the dumb ideas in my head that take time to implement. it's also a great tool for me to organize everything outside my head and see if it makes sense. I would appreciate any feedback you guys are willing to give me. Be it about the content, writing technique, or grammar.
