You play as Joe Smith (renamable), the mission engineer, veteran astronaut, and a billionaire thanks to co-creating the breakthrough energy source. You are part of the first mission team traveling to Mars. You will discover how the harshness of the Martian surface reshapes your relationships with your crewmates.

This is my debut visual novel. Mars: SHCD is a linear story. You, the reader, may notice the early part of the VN is a bit rough. When I began Mars: SHCD, I was (and maybe still) a novice. I hope the ladder part of the VN highlights my improvements in technique and visuals.
On another note, I took the story seriously, which made all the sexual encounters vanilla. You will not find hard-core sex inside Mars: SHCD.
Lastly, there are no animations. I would like to have them, but animations are beyond my current capabilities.
