Hello everyone! With a new month upon us I wanted to do a quick check in on where things are, and where things may... be?
Power Play status: Almost DONE! Just a couple more parts to go and it's all wrapped up nice and neat. I know it's been a long time comin' (heh) but I do expect to have it fully complete this month (and I'm hopeful I can knock out the rest in record time).
Helen x Dash animation: I also want to try and wrap up this animation. This would likely take a couple weeks at least, so I'd say end of this month at earliest or early next if we can.
Shulkie x Venom: Still planned for RIGHT after the animation. I am wanting to make good progress in completing it if not this month, then definitely next!
Harley Bozo Hole: Clownussy is still on the menu, boys! But when? Probably later this month. Basically, it's still on the mind and I want to drop a few strips at the least, next time.
Request stream: I know it was mentioned last month, I didn't forget! I think we'll likely have one this month, for sure. I'm leaning towards making a post for folks to drop some ideas (don't want for anyone to feel forced to make a discord to leave ideas) and I'll take some from the post and of course, from the discord channel. More details soon.
Do I have more in mind? Yes. But I want to be sure to make mention of the projects still in progress. I know we didn't hit all the targets last month, and I do wish some pages were out a little sooner, but I hope you all still enjoyed what was worked on. I can say I'm still glad with the comic work in March and I'm hoping to do a lot more this month as well.
I've finished inking the first batch of the next part in the PGxFisher comic, and have started coloring it. Will be lettering/finishing it super soon. After that it's onto the next batch of the comic, and then onto finishing the Helen x Dash animation. You might see more Harley"BOZO HOLE" somewhere in-between (a few strips perhaps at a time). Either way, the Shulkie x Venom comic will come right after the animation (that's right: I haven't forgotten!).
I've also been checking the ideas/requests channel in the discord too and I've got a few I like. I think I might do a request stream with these in the next week or so. Will update with more news on that later.
Last but not least, all the enthusiasm on "The Casting Sofa" definitely has me thinking up some ideas about a follow up. Haven't quite settled on something solid just yet but I do want for it to follow from the ending of the first part!
Making a quick status posts to give an update not only on my projects but myself as well. Towards the tail end of last year, things were very uneven and I didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted to and promised. (Quite frankly I wasn't satisfied with my output overall in 2024).
Comics like "Power Play" and "She Hulk x Venom: First Dance" went unfinished for too long. The big reason, I felt that folks probably didn't care to see a comic so old and a comic that quite frankly isn't the kink I usually draw. I started thinking, "no one cares". I know it's silly, and I hate to admit this thought process happens to me more often than not. So I tend to put work aside. I rather not work on project with so much doubt, I think that does more harm to it than just trying to get finished for completion sake.
I finally decided to tell folks about it, and I received messages, not only encouragement but the emotional support I really needed. And not to get too personal (I tend not to almost to a fault) but I am doing things in real life that is helping me get through.
It's been helping me to stay on track. That's why I decided to do a week long animation stream event. It was exiting, and it kept on on a schedule. I'm not saying this the only solution (there's no way I can stream literally daily!) but it was for my own confidence to keep the excitement and joy going.
This is certainly getting long at the tooth, here isn't it? But I felt it was necessary to write. I don't want anyone feel like they've been deceived, tricked, or ripped off here. I have a lot to make up for!
I'll be continuing the comics at the end of the month. And as always, I'll be giving frequent updates on my discord and socials about my work. If you'd rather like to wait to jump on when the comic is fully finished posted (or public) I completely understand! No news will be left in the dark.
I've always feel awful for making posts like these because it feels like the same song and dance before when in reality I'm actually making better progress than I have before. But sometimes there are stumbles. And those stumbles can feel (and look) far more glaring than they actually are.
Hopefully next status post will be less about this and more about status of projects. My supporters and fans, deserve the world and I hope you can create the best stories and art that you'll love and support!

Now that the Granny comic is complete, it's on to the next projects. I was going to move forward with the She-Hulk comic but I thought I could also split things up by working on finally finishing PG x Fisher, too. The plan is to have these out in batches so we'd have a PG x Fisher post, then Shulkie x Venom, then PG x Fisher, etc. until finished.
I think this is a good way to have something for everyone while also getting a long-term comic complete. And I'm still going to work in between on getting other things done, like the Lady D animation, given how close it is to completion.
I'll also be having some art streams over the next week. I'm considering working on an animation for all of those streams, particularly the one that was in the last character poll: Helen Parr. I've got something in mind for her (and Dash, of course!) and it might be fun to do most of the process, while on stream. I'll give everyone a heads up if I go forward with it.
Besides some sketches and finished wips I plan to post here and there, my main focus for Substar will be finishing the two comics I have currently.
I'll be completing and posting comic work for the next two weeks! I'm deciding if I should post it all at once, or in batches when they're done. But either way I hope you folks are looking forward to them!
Also, It's been quite awhile since I last thanked everyone here for their ongoing support! I really wouldn't have been able to do even half of what I love if it wasn't for my fans (Yes I'm posting this everywhere because I truly mean it)!
With both cons behind us and my guest for the week has gone home, I am now ready to continue my projects here. Starting with "Dance with Me" with Blackfire and Robin! It's a comic short with 9 pages left to color. I'll be posting those parts starting tomorrow. After each small comic/project is finished for this month, I'll post another status post about what's next!
Also, I'll be working on my online store! I know a lot of folks have been asking about it and believe me I'm working on making sure everything is set and ready to go before I move forward. I'll be sure to keep you folks posted!
