Hey everyone! It's me, your friendly neighborhood artisan and I come bearing news of the present and hopefully, the future. Let's dive in:

For this month's project I want to complete the Vampi-Milf comic. I think there's maybe 5 or so pages left? Maybe more? But that's the ballpark estimate and I'd like to have that done! 

We also have the Trunks x Panchy strips/sets I'm in the middle of currently. Those have been sketched and I'm just making my way through adding the details. Once that's done I'm moving onto finishing Vampi-Milf! And once Vampi is done...? Then it's likely onto the Shulkie comic, at least in terms of project work. Small things will be done here and there but those are the main projects in mind for now.

The previous year was nowhere near satisfying for me in terms of creative output. Physical health took a toll certainly but I was able to work with some great doctors and I think that part of things is on the mend. That helps! But there's still lots of other work to do and I hope to work hard making progress every day towards it. 

Whether it's in completing the projects on the plate or making new works I (and hopefully, you all) would want to see, there's a lot to do. I have a lot projects in mind, lots of new and of course plenty old. I want to see every last one come to life. I want to see what people have in mind when they see them. I want to be, if I'm able and if I'm fortunate, prolific in my project work. I hope, so very much, that this year I can achieve that dream.

Hey everyone. I wanted to make a quick update on where things are, and any plans. First things first: I'll be away for the next week for sure as I'm attending Anime Weekend Atlanta con (as FSDB). I'll be back the beginning of the week afterward.

As for artwork here, I can't say I've done as much as I expected or wanted to do and you all fairly deserve. Motivation and enthusiasm has been in short supply, partly due to external factors like stress (and admittedly, the nerve wracking process of preparation for my first convention out of state) and feeling down about missing my own deadlines. I've got a lot of work to do on both myself and on the artwork end so I can deliver the projects I promised and still want to see completed. 

I hope to have some artwork up this month but I doubt it will be a complete project like a finished comic or animation. 

I'm not happy for having let folks down and it's certainly playing a role in how I feel but it's the truth and I'm not going to shy away from it. You all have been incredibly kind and supportive, and deserve a lot more. I want to be able to get back to making projects that are consistent and enjoyable for all. I hope I can do so after the con and I hope I can get things in order here for my sake and of course, for the fans and friends here (and elsewhere).

It's close to the end of the month and I realized it's way overdue for a status post! I apologize for not making a post earlier (at least on it's own) to keep folks updated. Now let's get to it: 

First, I know it's been a slow month. Reason being, I thought after my break and recovery I'd be hitting it out of the art gate guns-a-blazing! But: I needed to take things a little slower, something I didn't quite understand until much more recently. 

I have been working on some comic pages and sketches outside of Substar though; something some of you may have seen. But even then I haven't fully inked and lettered pages as quickly as I anticipated! And that kind of bummed me out? As I said earlier, I didn't realize I needed to give myself time to create and not beat myself up because I wasn't "fast enough." I laid into myself too much over my lack of speed and output and added on a lot of guilt in the process. That harshness with myself didn't help but I'm working on getting out of that unhelpful mindset. Still: I should've made a status post earlier, including about the art coming up. You're all of course owed that. Speaking of which...

I have WIPs for short strips that I'll be finishing soon, including a holiday related one. I'll post them as I finish the strips instead of holding onto them. Outside of the strips, I of course haven't forgotten about Shulkie x Venom and will be showing progress of that as I have it.

I'll try and keep to posting things at a good pace. I should've made this post after the first two weeks! But I was too concerned about finishing things fast before I showed anything. That was shortsighted and I didn't notice that I still needed a slightly longer break. But that break is about over and I'll be posting up things more often from here!

Thanks to those who've supported me while I've been recovering and taking things slow. But what better way to show my appreciation of that support than with some more artwork I love to create? :D

My surgery on Friday was a success and I was able to go home that night. I was very, very sore over the weekend but I'm feeling much better every day. It's going to take a couple of weeks to be far more recovered than I am currently, but I may be back in action by the end this week or next.

Thank you everyone for all the well wishes and messages! I'll be sure to rest up and take it easy until I'm able to be up and about again!

It's getting later into the month so I think it's about time for another update!

What's been accomplished: Much of the Chi-Cheeks Week and The PG x Toyman comic! I'm pretty happy with what I was able to do this month and I hope folks have enjoyed it. I was really focused on making sure to complete at least one project and I want to continue that trend going forward as I have a lot of ideas I want to work on!

Onto what's on the plate and what's next:

Outside the projects, some things in between are always to be expected. I've been happy with Chi-Cheeks week (almost done!) but I don't expect to have another "week" like it for a little while. Smaller strips and sketches (sketch studies?) will likely suffice in order to give me time to hopefully complete the projects on the plate next month.

Speaking of "themed weeks," I definitely have ideas in mind for others. What I've learned in the process is to make sure to complete the strips ahead of time. Then posting it daily. It took a little more time here as I didn't expect to add multiple strips/pages to so many of your Chi-Cheeks prompts, but I really couldn't help it. The ideas that came forth gave me lots of inspiration! But next time: I'll get it done well ahead of the week!

Last but not least: I've got what looks like a definite date for my small surgery. It'll be this Friday.

I've been advised to take about a week to recover (and no gym/heavy lifting for about three weeks, ugh!). So I may be out of action for that week. We'll see. Of course I want to be drawing where and when I can but I want to let everyone know of the "forced" recovery break. Fingers crossed the procedure goes well and recovery is swift though!

EDIT: While I expect it to take at least a week to recover, it may be a little longer, potentially two weeks depending on circumstances. (Really hoping it's a week though! I don't think I can enjoy not being up and about for so long!)

It's the start of the month so of course now's a good time to give another update!

Health wise, things are still moving along but I'm feeling way better knowing it's finally getting done! Speaking of feeling better, I'm also glad to say I'm still doing well mentally, and I think it's been showing!

It's really been fun getting back into the swing of (naughty) things (and I've also really enjoyed reading all the comments on the recent artwork!). Definitely feels like I've got the wind at my back again!
