Electrickinks is a visual storytelling project made by one person using AI tools. It’s involved a lot of technical experimentation, as well as studying storytelling across different visual mediums. It is, and has always been, completely imperfect.

The income I’ve made from it has allowed me to upgrade my hardware and take time away from other projects so I can dedicate more of it to this one. I’ll always be grateful to everyone who has supported it and enjoyed these stories, and especially for the patience it takes while I curate, fix, and edit the results.

From the very beginning, when generative AI became a fast and accessible resource, I moved from digital drawing into experimenting with these tools. I was fascinated by the possibility of developing stories and fanfics more frequently; with larger casts and characters I otherwise might never have had the time or resources to work with.

It hasn’t been an easy road. There has been, and still is, a lot of fear surrounding generative AI and LLM-based tools, and as a result, a lot of hostility toward them. Navigating that in different spaces has been difficult. At the same time, I do understand where some of that reaction comes from. Along the way, I’ve also tried to speak up about regulations I believe are unfair, while supporting others that I think are necessary.

On top of that, it has also been difficult to navigate the constant censorship of different kinds of kinks and sexual expression that fall outside what is considered “normal” or acceptable.

Because of that, I’ve tried to advocate for the idea that fiction can be a safe space for exploration, while always keeping in mind that any relationship between real people, sexual or otherwise, must be built on respect and consent.

Sexuality can also be explored through fiction and activities such as roleplay between consenting adults who want to safely and knowingly enjoy their own personal kinks.

Through this project, I’ve also been introduced to many different kinks by followers, patrons, and people who have commissioned me, and some of them have been genuinely fascinating to learn about. Their support and commissions have also allowed me to train character models that are now part of the open-source software community, where anyone can use them for free.

I think we need spaces where these subjects can be discussed without taboo or shame. Even I sometimes feel exhausted by the amount of censorship surrounding them, but the work of educators and content creators who advocate for a better understanding and responsible discussion of these topics gives me hope.

One example is YouTuber Evie Lupine, whose work, along with that of other creators in similar spaces, continues to face demonetization and, more recently, increasing pressure that can make it harder for this kind of content to exist on mainstream platforms at all.

Right now, besides making AI comics, something I genuinely enjoy and have no intention of stopping, I’ve also been experimenting with basic animation using video and audio editing software.

With all of that said, I hope you’ll continue supporting this project not only as some interesting “entertainment” 😉, but also, in its own small way, as a statement about this particular moment in time; a moment when decisions are being made about what the future of the internet is going to look like.
