CityLife v0.3 — a brand-new river city, and people in the streets 🌆

• 🌉 A new city. Avenues with real sidewalks, crosswalks, traffic lights, parked cars along the kerb, and low-poly trees that fade in and out as you move.
• 🚶 People in the streets. Citizens commute (a 30-minute trip), run errands and go for walks. They walk at a normal pace, dodge each other, and wear work clothes or going-out clothes depending on why they're out. Their status reads "walking in street".
• 🤝 Stop anyone and talk. Talk to a pedestrian and they walk up to you and face you. Their routine pauses while you talk and picks up where it left off.
• 📱 Ask for a phone number. If it goes well, the contact lands on your phone. "Where do you work?" gets a real answer with their real job and place.
• 💬 More to say. About twenty new Social and Romantic actions that unlock as your relationship grows, and extra actions when someone is expecting.
• ❓ They ask you things. When you open a conversation, in the middle and as you leave, people ask you a question. Your answer changes how they feel about you, their mood, their traits and their thoughts.
• 🎭 Twenty personalities. Answers now sound like the person: shy, sarcastic, charming, cold, romantic… with their own openers, closers and a memory so they don't repeat themselves.
• 🎨 Cartoon portraits. Turn on cartoon mode and every portrait and scene is drawn in a cartoon style by your local image engine.
• 🌃 A living night. Windows light up at random, each one changes on its own every few hours, and after midnight about 90% of them go dark.

• Typing something like "Suggest cheating in secret" no longer opens the Inheritance card — keywords now match whole words only.
• A word like "something" is no longer read as a drug.
• The "responder" line is in English again.
• Saves. The portable build used to lose the world and your save every time it started. It now keeps everything in a CityLife-game folder next to the .exe.

• The first launch builds a brand-new city and takes several minutes. After that it's instant.
• The AI image engine is still optional and still not bundled: it installs on request, with your own checkpoint. The game runs fine without it.
• CityLife 0.3 uses port 3031 and its own settings folder, so it can run next to older versions.
• Saves from older versions don't carry over: the city is different.

CityLife v0.2.8 — now it runs without an NVIDIA graphics card 🎉

• 🖥️ Image generation on the CPU. No NVIDIA card needed. The SD1.5 engine runs on the processor and picks the right device by itself.
• 🎛️ New "Device" setting in the image settings: Auto, GPU or CPU — with a short note explaining why the game chose what it chose.
• 🛡️ Safer on weak graphics cards. If your GPU has less than 4 GB of VRAM, or a driver too old for the AI engine, the game now falls back to the CPU instead of crashing.
• 🔁 Automatic switch to SD1.5 on PCs without a usable NVIDIA GPU (SDXL still needs one, and now says so clearly instead of failing).
• 💬 Errors that actually say something. If the AI engine stops in the middle of an image, the game now shows what happened and where to find the log — not just a cryptic network error.
• 💜 Tidier start page. The Donate, Patreon and SubscribeStar buttons are now stacked in a clean vertical column.

• Just download the new portable .exe and run it. Your saves stay in the data folder next to it.
• The first image after starting is the slowest, because the model has to load.
• If something still goes wrong, the error now includes the log path (ai-engine.log) — send me the last lines and I'll take a look.
