Luckily there wasn't much done on the storyboarding part. I had laid out two concepts for the doujin (and did a bit of scripting for both) before I picked one to go with. However, after the new year's giving me a fresh mind (got a lot of needed sleep), I have come to realize that the initial concept is NOT what I truly wanted. The second concept is actually the correct thing to go with.

There is a lot of material that will be re-used so there isn't a need to worry about lost time. A brief directional shift is all that happened. It will ultimately still be wonderful.

Sometimes it happens... you planned to go one way, and something causes you to go the other way. I was trying to play it safe, but truly I should have followed my heart with this idea.

With that set in stone now, it is much more clear to me what I am going to do. There isn't a subtle feeling of doubt anymore regarding the project... I'm going to embrace my full degenerate side with this.

Storyboarding and sketching of the panel layouts has started.

Early Draft Stages

The doujin's premise has been chosen. As my debut work into the adult-comic industry, I am picking something simple yet sweet. There may be some cliche (I'll try to avoid them), but ultimately, I believe it will turn out to be sweet and fruitful! I aim to write a vanilla romance that starts from an unlikely scenario: the capture of a succubus. I have gone through many brainstorms featuring this huge, busty bitch I decided to name Nadeia (https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/102689159). I love submissive girls, and I want to explore the power dynamics in relationships. Of course, the romance will be idealized in some way, but I'll make sure to dial things back a bit so you -the reader- can find it believable. Plus, that's one of the points of fictional work, no? To create something you find ideal...

You won't see any artwork regarding the doujin in the coming days since a lot of careful planning is required to make sure I don't waste time fixing major corrections. I will start the storyboarding phase at the start of 2023.
