Inky Sketchbook, V. 2
Just under 3 years later, I've finally returned to update this sketchbook.
Part of the reason I hadn't done so sooner is that when I first published this one, I was expecting to be trapped within the fandom for another like 3 years and perhaps end up making one or two more sketchbooks. Alas, life loves to take different turns and twists, and I found my world turned upside down for like two years, which also shifted my lovely AuDHD hyper fixation skill towards something new: Fallen London.
And unlike this other fandom, I feel REALLY GOOD ABOUT supporting Fail Better Games. I'm planning on making a sketchbook/zine of my new blorbo soon, so keep a look out for that! But past 2023, I've hardly drawn much of the inky demon fandom anymore. And I really don't think I'm gonna draw much more of it, either (except for some exceptions, see below)
So, like 70% of what I've added to this zine was actually drawn back in 2023 or earlier; I've gone and added a bunch of not specifically erotic art but still leaning into shipping content pieces, as well as some arts of establishing character looks in some of my more odd AUs. I think actually having breaks of more tame stuff between all the bonking helps pace it out a lot better, and I'm glad to have a home for much more of my art where it's all sitting together instead of sectioned off by social media posting rules. BUT ALSO!!! About 30% of it is new!! LIKE BRAND NEW!!! I DREW IT THIS PAST WEEK NEW!!! NEVER BEFORE SEEN unless u subscribe OR EVEN HINTED ABOUT EXISTING IN PUBLIC UNTIL TODAY!!! Most of that is in slime AU and forest critter AU, because I had some left over ideas and sketches I wanted to get out before possibly putting them down forever. But there's also some Cthulhu stuff too...
Now, what are these exceptions?
1. Well, the Cthulhu Game isn't finished yet, but we're finally looking to actually finish it. I expect to end up drawing more Cthulhu as that happens, because if something is active in my mind, you know I'm thinking of drawing spice of it. There will probably be one more update to this sketchbook once I have really gotten the last of the Cthulhu out of my system and feel ready to move on from this fandom as a whole, finally.
2. You may notice that "Flower Shop AU" has been ripped out. That's because I've decided I'm just wholesale making this my own story and no longer leaving the attachments to its former fandom known. "Attachments" I say, when really there was hardly anything connecting it back to the original content beyond character names and extremely basic templates of their roles and personalities. But even a lot of those have changed far away enough from the original characters that I really don't even feel they're connected anymore. I was also having a lot of struggles keeping it an AU, trying to work in those connections back to the originals, which as soon as I dropped that it was easier to just focus on the story as a whole, and I think it'll be much better on its own. You'll find that content now uploaded under the name Gilded Arrangements in the hopefully near future, and I AM planning on adding a lot more to that story soon.
3. The single piece of "Minecraft AU" has been ripped out as well. This is because, upon further thought, it's much more of an ode to Minecraft as a fandom than this one. The characters initially moved over were based off Cthulhu rather than OG content, and really developed on their own in the craft'n world more so than ever linked back to the other fandom. So. Yeah, I have more content of that to publish, including a short comic I'm hoping to clean up?? And might work on that more in the future.
But beyond that, soon shall be the end of my inky demon fan art I think. Anything after will be scraps more than consistent flow... but if you liked my art here, please come see what I'm doing now with my gender weird mutant scandal disaster man in 1899 Victorian England!!! it's so kinky u guys it's sOOOO KINKYYYYY
