In september, I started changing up my practice and study habits with a new routine where I would try to, almost every day, practice drawing circles, squares, cubes and cylinders of different sizes, angles and with different strokes, and also practice drawing lines in different directions with different strokes. the goal beyond just practicing the absolute basics was to target directions of movement that my arm was physically weaker at and practice those. additionally, I made it a point to force myself to use basic brushes with zero stabilization and smoothing, to overcome that as a crutch.
after filling up a section I'd move on to practicing figures in various poses using different gesture and construction techniques.
once the page was done i'd post it online
this was all my warmup and training process before I would go to work on actual pieces or commissions.
