I update with a weekly report every Wednesday, just to tell you all what I get up to each week, and on the last Wednesday on every month, I release the newest build of the game!

Please note, Demo saves are incompatible with the current version of SnakeByte Blue, due to massive overhauls in the game engine files – so a new save is required if upgrading from the Demo! The demo’s content (Sex scenes etc) are still available in the game.

About Me;
Ok, here’s the story. I’m a creator, artist, writer, and I’ve been working on a project for the past (almost) seven years.

Back then, I was a starry eyed dreamer who set up a company, created my own comic, I even got it published, and things looked bright. But now, its seven years later; my comic never got recognition, the whole “I’m a published author” shtick has run thin, the money is basically all gone. So, the very last trick up my sleeve is this; an adult parody of my own work! I’ve created a RPG Maker game, which follows all the exciting events of my non-adult work, but with a lot more TnA this time around!

You see, I still believe that my story will delight and interest people, and if this is the path I have to take to get myself out there, then I’ll do it gladly. So curious backers, I present to you; SnakeByte Blue.

I aim to complete the game in segments, for example; 0.0.1 will have version (a), then version (b) and so on, each version adding more and more content to the current level/area in the game.

Then 0.0.2 will be the next level/stage, and I’ll populate it with content - (a), then (b) and so on - again, over and over until the game reaches 0.0.3 (a), and then 0.0.4 (a) etc.

Just a little sick.

Hello everyone!

Sorry for being AWOL, I’m afraid I picked up a bug that really knocked me on my arse. Over the weekend I felt a little off, but thought it was just one of those head colds you get. Monday however, I had a fever, sneezing, coughing, dizziness – I’ve spent the past two days in bed drinking medicine like cola. No idea what happened, never had a cold this bad. 

Anyway it looks like I’m over the worst of it, fevers and dizziness are gone, I’m not 100% but at least I can actually look at my PC without feeling queasy. 

As for the game, I’m going to be releasing the build first thing Saturday morning. That way I can finish up the work I needed to do Monday and Tuesday – though thankfully it’s not that much to do, just a couple of fights that need to be implemented, and figuring out the bug of the outfits. 

Again, sorry about that – this random cold (which I’m 90% sure wasn’t Covid but damn was I worried at the time!) really threw me through a loop.

So yeah that’s 9:00am Saturday Morning EST.

Happy Easter!


Howdy y’all! Hope you’ve all got great plans for this weekend!

Now then, the Art Update is officially over, though I’ll admit that I didn’t hit even a quarter of the artwork that I wanted updated, unfortunately. 

HOWEVER, the new art that is in the game I’m simply over the moon with how it turned out. Kyrsten, Krischara, and all the characters and even the scenes look better than ever, not to mention the game is running smoothly and basically bug free! Overall, I’m absolutely proud of what came out of the art update – and I want to extend a huge thank you to the patience you all had during!

Naturally, there’s still a tonne that still needs to be completed, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

 

So for the upcoming month, the first thing I need to get done is updating the game engine to include the new release from RPG Maker.

For those just joining us, I current run the battle system in SnakeByte Blue off of a “tactics system” plugin, to give a fire emblem kind of combat instead of the more traditional Pokémon style. This plugin is basically abandoned as the author hasn’t reappeared in some years now, but RPG maker very recently released an update for MV that incorporates their own version of this system, so switching over is a logical step as the newer system will be officially supported.

Anyway, updating to the new system is top of my list. I’ve only played with it slightly, but seems to be pretty close to what I have in the game already, so I’m fairly confident that the transition should be pretty seamless – although I’ll be sure to keep you all updated on how I am finding it.


Currently, the plan is to have Version 0.0. 4 (A) release on the 24th of April – with two weeks being planned for the transition to the new battle system. If it does take longer, I’ll make sure to update you guys but the plan is to have the battle system updated so that I can start off the “Battle of Cycle Town” … you know, finally(!)

Monthly updates from now on will be dedicated to half the month being “new content” and half to updating the older stuff, so I can progress the game and give you guys the content you deserve and have been waiting so patiently for. 

 

Anyway, lot’s to do – I’ll see you all Wednesday for the weekly update!
