Episode 2 Final Release

Hi all! I hope everyone has had (or is having) an awesome Christmas Day! To add to the day's festivities, the Final (and public!) release of Cara in Creekmaw Episode 2 is finally here!

What does Episode 2 add?
- Over 20,000 lines of dialogue!
- At least 4000 brand-new images!
- Over 20 new steamy scenes to view and collect in the replay gallery. Collecting all of them would require multiple playthroughs!

Note that this is a full installation of the game files (i.e. 6GB). Further bug fixes in this post will be in the hotfix format (i.e. 9MB updates replacing older script files) and will be updated in the post itself with the appropriate steps should there be any bugs or errors that may occur in this final build.

In addition, more mirrors will be available as the post will be constantly updated.

Here are the changes that are included in this update! 
  • All combined bug fixes that were reported during the Alpha and Beta.
  • Questionnaire update; begin a new journey by answering a few questions from the Prologue and Episode 1 and be on your way!
  • Secret renders; rounding out the entire game, 3 all-new renders joined with 3 taken from previous render requests to make up the new Episode 2 secret render gallery!

Bugfixes included: 
  • Fixed script errors occurring in the kitchen.
  • Consistency passes on dialogue.
  • Fixed the secret render gallery featuring the wrong image.

Hotfix Installation (9MB)

To prevent the constant re-installation of 6GB for every bug fix I make, this section is to include downloads for re-compiled scripts. What this means is any error you may encounter in the main game install above can be fixed by simply replacing a much, much smaller file with the exact fixes!

Note that this file is usable for all platforms (Windows, Linux, and Mac).

For the hotfix to be applied, simply follow these steps:
1. Download the file above after saving and quitting Cara in Creekmaw.
2. Go to the "game" folder of your Cara in Creekmaw folder.
3. Replace the "scripts.rpa" file with this brand spanking new one!
4. Boot up the game and resume from where you left off!

CHANGE LOGS
HOTFIX 4 (MOST RECENT) 
  • The library article section should no longer be zoomed in.
  • Fixed a few images that had a floating background.

HOTFIX 3
  • A few wrong images have been corrected.
  • Dialogue consistency improved in the conversation between Cara and Stanford (i.e. dialogue topics will grey out after they are discussed).

HOTFIX 2
  • The library section where Cara reads the news should now properly show all news articles.

HOTFIX 1
  • Fixed images in the Suyin's gym toilet conversation section (I remember fixing this but maybe I undid the text changes somehow)

- Uploaded a hotfix version (Prologue-Hotfix) containing the following fixes:
  • Fixed a potential soft-lock issue in the journal tutorial, and adjusted it such that the player is no longer required to click on the journal in the tutorial.
  • Story dialogue tweaked (no major change to the over-arching story)
  • Added "Stars" in the main menu.

The Prologue of Cara in Creekmaw is here!
Hi all! I'm excited to share that the episodic installment of Cara in Creekmaw is finally ready! After months of hard work and an entire year of planning with real-life work and commitments piled on top, I can finally share what I've been working on closely with everyone!

Here's a short overview of the game:
Cara returns to Creekmaw to visit her mother over the course of 2 days after moving out a year ago with her fiancé. Mysteries start to pile on upon her return, with the town and its townspeople harboring many secrets and their own intentions.

At its core, Cara in Creekmaw will be a VN game with branching dialogue and varied scenes with a focus on mystery and deduction using information gathered from the dialogue. I aim to achieve a balance between explicit content featuring vore as well as various situations around sex (i.e. similar to sex VN games).

Right now, in the Prologue, the gameplay is restricted to dialogue and character information only, but I plan to add more interactive gameplay elements as I move into developing the 1st episode of the game.

Yes, there will be vore themes alongside sexual ones. Here is a link to the full list of themes that are currently present in the game, what will be included in the future, and what will NOT be included.
