Oliver and Jacob. In their forties, with successful careers, families and a loneliness that runs deeper than they dare admit. Colleagues and friends for years. They move through the routine of everyday life, but the air between them grows tenser, heavier. A company party, a bowling alley, a glance met in a restroom. That's all it takes for the walls they thought were solid to begin to crack.
This story is not about grand gestures. It's about hands not quite touching, sentences frozen in the air, the fear and desire so strong it almost physically vibrates the space between them. The Trembling Air is an honest and painfully real exploration of what happens when love doesn't arrive by the usual route, and one must face oneself with all the consequences.
