Hey guys,

I am very excited to announce we finally have our own website at altosandherdone.com! Not only that but you can play the full version of the game there entirely on your web browser. Meaning we finally have a decent alternative to the highly compressed Android version, plus people can now play on iOS for the very first time.

The website and web-player was built and is being managed by an enterprising web developer named Hyliax. I am very happy to be an early adopter of his new Renpy webplayer platform and I wish him every success with his new business venture. To any other developers reading this: I strongly recommend his services.

The web-player loads assets as needed, so there’s no need to download the full game to play. Save files are stored in the cloud, plus you can download a backup of your save directly to your device as well as uploading an existing save. You can log into the website using either your Patreon, Subscribestar or Discord Account. After logging in you will be able to access the latest patron/subscriber only versions (when the next one comes out). You can also find a link to download the latest public version from our Itch page.

The website provides a new home for the game’s walk-through (although it is also still available from the old MediaFire location). At some point we are thinking about creating a wiki, but for now it’s still a PDF document. We also have a gallery feature which hosts our substantial library of custom art. I went through and tagged all the images so they can be sorted by character and theme. Some of the albums are public but most of the images are only accessible by patrons in the Head of Department tier. I am hoping to find time to add some more custom sets to the gallery soon. Plus I plan to use the gallery as a home for future image previews.

One important thing to note; the website is not currently available in regions with age verification laws, including the UK, France and some US states. These laws are prohibitively expensive to comply with for small businesses like mine. If an affordable and safe age verification option becomes available we will look at implementing it. To be clear, the public version of the game will still be available to download from Itch, and I will still release download links for early access versions as before. So even if you are affected by a geoblock you will still have the same access to the game.

Legally, I shouldn’t advise you on how to get around geoblocks, even though it is simple to do. Sadly, this oppressive censorship/pearl-clutching bullshittery has had the entirely predictable consequence of making the internet less safe, with people far more vulnerable to scams and bad actors. So, always be very careful who you hand your personal information over to. Look to reputable companies like Nord or Proton for safer browsing.

Anyway, I hope the new web-player enables lots of new people to discover and enjoy the game, and that people enjoy perusing the gallery. In honour of the occasion, Herdone designed a new logo for us and I updated our Patreon page with a new banner, shown above. It’s back to work on the game now though. I’ll be posting my next development update later this month.

Version 0.17.3.2public is now available to everyone and can be downloaded for free from Itch.io. In total version 17 (including the supplementary 0.17.3 update) adds around 90,000 words, 1500 images and over 200 videos (a collective 24 minutes worth of short video loops).

For those of you who have already played Version 17
I first released version 0.17 back in December, then I released a supplementary version 0.17.3 with new content earlier this month. Please note that if you have played the latest Patreon only version (0.17.3) you are already up to date. The public version does not have any further content. It includes a few minor bug fixes and additional French translation. Unfortunately, the French translation is only around 90% complete at this point. We will issue a patch just as soon as it is finished.

For those yet to play Version 17
A quick thank you to everyone who helped put this together; my software manager Dan2bit for his tireless efforts (trying) to keep me organised, Kthunda for his help with the code; Gegecucu for his help with animations; Phil5K for his help play-testing, new patron Jsherwood0 for his help with some important technical changes behind the scenes, and of course my wife Herdone for her help at home.

The twins are the stars of the show this time. They will be successfully pranking the headmaster twice, both times leading to him requiring “treatment” from the school nurse. Although there are only two levels in the twins punishment system, more happens in those two levels than most of the other girls have in five. The girls will be starting off their punishment system fully naked. The headmaster will be persuading them to let him bind them to his desk to be tickled and pleasured. There is even some group action with the twins and Claire after a punishment, as well as some further fun with the headmaster and both twins in the men’s locker room. There is also additional content for the twins in the swimming pool and when patrolling the halls at the weekend.

We also start off Faye’s storyline, however, her content is mostly an introduction. Her character is sweet and innocent and therefore her corruption needs to be more of a slow burn. We do make significant progress during her punishment system, convincing her to remove her knickers and allow the headmaster to insert a butt plug. We also ask Nina to become her tutor and we see a little of those two interacting in Faye’s bedroom. We will be coming back to Faye and Nina in the next update.

An important sub-goal for me this update was to get Claire to the point where she would accept students giving sexual pleasure to the headmaster. On that front I was highly successful. This means that all the major pieces are finally in place to make the jump to Chapter 3. Play all the way through the update and the headmaster will propose a rule granting teachers unrestricted authority to remove students' underwear. Just as the rule allowing the headmaster the authority to spank the girls himself marked the end of Chapter 1, this rule will mark the end of Chapter 2. The rule can’t be voted on just yet, but I left that conversation in to show people just how close we are. I am going to need one more update to tie up some loose ends, then we can finally move on with the main story post Maxine’s fundraiser.

There are a lot of technical and quality of life improvements in this update as well. Probably the most obvious one will be the new “Pin it” feature for the quest-log which will add a reminder about what to do next on your main map.

There are some major spoilers in the change log so I am going to make it available to download separately as a PDF. The only really important question is; does the headmaster have sex with any of the students? The answer is yes and it’s not a girl anyone will be expecting (although it won’t come as a huge surprise by the time you get to that scene). I recommend going in blind and just enjoying the show. All you need to do is start your old save (or new one if you prefer) and follow the quest logs for Faye, Claire and the Twins. Plus, as always, check the event log to see if there are any scenes you’ve missed (as well as hints on how to see them). The changelog can be downloaded here: major spoilers ahead.

Android users:
Thanks to some help from patron Jsherwood0 we have an official android APK version again (available to download on Itch). Please note that this version is heavily compressed in order to meet Google's file size restrictions. It looks good enough on a small screen but if you want higher definition images and videos you can still play the window version with JoiPlay as before. I have been working on an android downloader app to get around these restrictions, however, I hit some technical hurdles. I will come back to it.
