CODEX: Umbrella Product Catalogue 203

CODE: RX-901-T-8471
Umbrella Bio-Organic Weapons Division
Product Designation: Infestor

Lethality: ★★★★★★★★★
Infection Rating: ★★★★★★★★★
Resilience: ★★★★★★★★☆
Propagation Rate: ★★★★★★★★★
Environmental Adaptability: ★★★★★☆☆☆☆
Tactical Utility: ★★★★★★★★★

The T-8471 B.O.W. was developed from a viable giant squid sample recovered during an Umbrella maritime research operation. The specimen was infected with a modified strain of the T-virus intended to increase tissue growth, aggression, regenerative capability, and tolerance for extensive bodily trauma. Megamycete mold was introduced during the second stage of development, providing the organism with a distributed neural network extending throughout its body and resulting growths. Most early specimens died as the two biological agents competed for control, but T-8471 achieved stable integration after the viral strain was modified to use the mold colony as a supporting nervous system. The completed organism is classified as one of Umbrella’s most successful large-scale experimental B.O.W.s.

T-8471 displays a remarkable ability to expand beyond its original body and infest surrounding structures. Once introduced into a warm, humid location, its tentacles penetrate drainage systems, ventilation ducts, utility passages, damaged foundations, and other narrow access points. New feeding nodes form throughout the occupied area, allowing the organism to spread across multiple rooms while remaining under the control of the central body. Organic material absorbed by these growths is converted into additional tissue at an accelerated rate, enabling the infestation to increase rapidly within enclosed facilities.

The organism’s most lethal feature is its ability to produce Breeder tentacles. These specialized limbs travel through a series of biological arteries, actively pursue nearby personnel, and once connected, inject a prepared payload that rapidly converts infected personnel into usable combat assets. Infected victims undergo rapid conversion into short-lived B.O.W.s possessing dense external armor, elongated talon-like fingers, enhanced speed, and a potent tail weapon sporting a fifteen inch stabing spike. These creatures deteriorate after a limited operational period, but their brief lifespan is offset by their ability to overwhelm defensive positions before tissue failure occurs. This combination of direct physical lethality, environmental infestation, and secondary B.O.W. production gives T-8741 the highest infectiveness and lethality ratings available under Umbrella’s internal assessment system.

The Infestor possesses exceptional value as a bunker-clearing and fortification-denial weapon. A sealed culture package can be introduced through a drainage outlet, maintenance shaft, damaged foundation, or underground water supply, allowing the infestation to develop behind defensive lines before the target is aware of its presence. Once active, T-8741 can block escape routes, penetrate internal barriers, isolate command personnel, and generate expendable sub-weapons without requiring a conventional assault force. As with all B.O.W. products, Umbrella provides full transportation, activation support, containment equipment, and post-operation sterilization. T-8741 is fully deployable, combat tested, and ready to be delivered to a warzone near YOU!

Threat Rating: OMEGA
Current Sales Value: $23,000,000 USD

Disclaimer: T-8741 has shown some limited vulnerability to extreme cold and dry environs. Umbrella takes no responsibility for sub-optimal performance in said environs, nor does it take responsibility for potential any subsequent exposure effects that may occur from improper or incomplete sterilization. All locales should be appropriately purged using R-109 Radioisotope and appropriately cleared with grade-6 fire-based purgation chemicals.

DGB Codex: Gallian Radios

Gallian Army Field Manual – Signals Corps – Technical Dossier
Classified Document – G.R.S. Model 12 “Blue Lantern” Field Radio
Issued by: Gallian Royal Signals Research Division, Yuell Communications Laboratory
 Date: 27th of Warmund, 1935 E.C.
The G.R.S. Model 12 “Blue Lantern” is a ruggedized, long-range field communications pack powered by Type-3 ragnite batteries. Designed for independent squad-level use in remote or front-line operations, the Blue Lantern grants unparalleled clarity and reach, thanks to ragnite’s unique conductive and harmonizing properties. Capable of maintaining voice transmission across distances of up to 30 kilometers in unobstructed terrain, the system revolutionizes battlefield coordination. The advanced signal modulation unit built into the core housing allows seamless switching between encoded and open frequencies, all managed by an analog tuner with tactile feedback suitable for gloved operation.

The internal architecture of the Model 12 is designed for durability and field maintainability. Modular signal tubes and filament arrays powered by refined ragnite cells offer high current with minimal heat bleed or resonance interference, even under heavy use. The large-format Type-3 ragnite battery (8 inches by 2 inches by half an inch) fits into a reinforced cradle with glow-indicator ports that allow rapid visual diagnostics. Auxiliary functions include a passive sweep scanner, capable of detecting hostile or friendly signal activity within a ten-kilometer radius, and a short-range broadcast mode that can override weaker transmissions for emergency coordination. Total operational time is rated at 48 to 60 hours on a single core.

Issued alongside the Blue Lantern are G.R.S. P4 personal units- compact transceivers crafted from rolled steel and insulated with vulcanized rubber. Designed for fireteam cohesion and tactical control in confined environments, the P4 radios offer reliable two-way communication over distances up to six kilometers, including through moderate obstructions such as rubble, dense brush, or building interiors. Powered by small-form ragnite cells with integrated charge indicators, these units represent a significant leap in reliability and signal fidelity. All ragnite-powered systems are sealed against environmental hazards and possess basic overcharge shielding in the event of cell compromise.

DGB Codex: Gallian APC (Refurbished)

Acquired in bulk before the beginning of EW2 and through reclamation during the war, this older model variant of the Imperial Srk.Fz.144 is considered one of the most commonly seen troop transport vehicles throughout the second war in Europa.  A popular model among all factions, this vehicle was produced in record numbers in EW1, only to be purged onto the market by the Empire to recoup costs for the more advanced Srk.Fz.291 prior to the outbreak of EW2.  A workhorse built around the principles of all-terrain transport and security in both rural and urban theaters, this Armored Personnel Carrier sports reinforced ragnasteel plating designed to defeat small and medium arms fire.  Known for it’s reliability under duress, the Srk-Model transport line has a number of turret attachments, from heavy machineguns to flame units designed for anti-personnel suppression, but is most commonly seen with light machineguns for their versatility and staying power in long theater engagements.

Commonly used in Gallian regular infantry units, but rarely assigned to Gallian militia detachments, this vehicle boasts an impressive top speed for it’s size and weight, ferrying reinforcements to and from combat zones with surprising fuel-to-distance ratios, allowing for farther, faster travel at lower cost.  The Gallian refit of the Srk.Fz.144 has replaced it’s original Imperial engine with a modernized D2Z “Mastiff” engine developed by Gallia Heavy Industries, which utilizes advanced ragnite injection systems and capacitor spools to increase the staying time while reducing energy emission loss due to overproduction, resulting in an increased fuel efficiency ratio that served the Gallian focus well in the early days of the invasion as raw Ragnite supplies were slowly depleted.

As a final note, the vehicle is famous for its presence and use during what is now called the Midsummer's Night Incident, the notes of which can be found in Section 18, Page 132.

DGB Codex: Unit 991

UNIT PROFILE: SPECIAL DETACHMENT 991

  • Inception Date:
    April 12th, 1935

  • Informal Nickname: The Lion’s Pride

  • Unit Motto: Quid Faciendum Est ("What Must Be Done")

  • Designation: Irregular Detachment

  • Unit Commander: [REDACTED]

Formed in the crucible of the Second Europan War, Unit 991 was conceived as a desperate answer to an overwhelming threat. As Imperial forces crushed their way through Gallian territory with mechanized ferocity, conventional resistance proved insufficient against the enemy’s raw industrial might and numerical superiority. Born in secret under direct authorization from high command, Unit 991 was established as an elite irregular detachment, operating outside the framework of standard military doctrine to wage asymmetrical warfare behind enemy lines. Their creation marked a turning point in Gallia’s military philosophy: a shift from conventional defense to ruthless, adaptive, and surgical offense.

Comprised of hand-picked soldiers from various militias and regular formations- often culled from failed units or battlefield remnants- the Pride was a patchwork of outcasts, survivors, and specialists forged into a cohesive whole through relentless training and discipline. Their missions were varied and grim: night raids on supply lines, high-value target eliminations, sabotage of logistical hubs, infiltration and disruption of command networks, extraction of resistance elements, and psychological operations to erode enemy morale. In several redacted operations, Unit 991 was credited with delaying entire armored divisions for days through coordinated ambushes and demolitions, buying precious time for Gallian forces to regroup and counter.

While few details remain unclassified, fragments suggest their actions were pivotal during several key battles. In one notable instance, Unit 991 is believed to have infiltrated a forward Imperial command post disguised as reinforcements, disabling communications, and assassinating multiple high-ranking officers before destroying key fortifications and vanishing into the night. In another, they reportedly ambushed a munitions train carrying experimental weaponry, causing a catastrophic explosion that was visible from over 40 kilometers away. Though never formally acknowledged, their fingerprints are rumored to be present on a dozen major turning points in the central and northern theaters of the conflict. Their ability to operate autonomously and adapt fluidly to the chaos of war redefined Gallia’s approach to unconventional warfare.

Today, Unit 991 is considered the prototype and gold standard for special operations groups across the continent. Their legacy has influenced the development of similar units in nations far beyond Gallia’s borders. Emulated but never replicated, the Pride’s brutal effectiveness, tight internal cohesion, and unmatched operational freedom are now studied in military academies as a case study in modern guerrilla and special warfare. Their first confirmed operation, an unsanctioned but successful intervention during the Battle for the Vasel Bridge, is widely regarded as the moment Gallia turned from desperate defense to deliberate resistance, and when the Lion’s Pride first showed its teeth.

GDB Codex: Writing on the Wall

The Lion and His Pride
by Irene Ellet, The Writing on the Wall

Rumors continue to swirl around the man known only as the “Lion of Bruhl,” a figure who has rapidly gained a mythical status among Gallian soldiers and citizens alike. Identified by some sources as Sergeant Jericho Finch (pictured below), this shadowy operative is believed to lead a clandestine unit of irregulars operating far beyond the reach of regular command structures. While the military has offered no official statement, whispers across the frontlines describe a team sent where even seasoned militia fear to tread, tasked with sabotage, assassination, and counterintelligence in the most contested sectors of the war.

One such mission, according to unconfirmed reports, took place deep inside the ruined city of Vasel, where Imperial forces had begun fortifying their grip. It was there, sources claim, that Sergeant Finch and his unit executed a surgical strike against an Imperial communications relay, using enemy signals to redirect entire battalions, including the infamous Armored Fourth under General Radi Jaeger, into a predesignated artillery kill zone. The result was a devastating bombardment that left the elite Imperial unit crippled and the enemy’s eastern advance in shambles. The scale and precision of the operation have led many to speculate whether this mysterious squad operates with insider knowledge or something more arcane.

The Gallian Army has neither confirmed nor denied the Lion’s existence, but morale among frontline troops has visibly surged. Soldiers speak of the Lion’s Pride in hushed tones, a unit of ghosts that strike from the shadows and leave ruin in their wake. Whether Sergeant Jericho Finch is a man, a myth, or something in between, one thing remains certain; wherever the Lion roams, the Empire bleeds.

DGB Codex: The Commando Class

The Commando is a specialized infantry class designed for deep infiltration, sabotage, and high-value target elimination behind enemy lines. Lightly armored but heavily trained, Commandos rely on stealth, speed, and brutal efficiency to complete missions most soldiers wouldn’t survive. Unlike Scouts or Shocktroopers, Commandos are not meant to hold ground or engage in prolonged firefights. Instead, they excel at navigating treacherous terrain, slipping past enemy patrols, and eliminating threats silently or with swift, overwhelming violence. Their standard loadout typically includes suppressed and modified assault rifles, combat knives, and a small kit of demolition charges or sabotage tools. The Commando class is further distinguished by its ability to bypass enemy overwatch zones and regain AP after performing lethal actions.

--Commandos have the following powers:

Ghost Movement:  Commandos only need to crouch to become invisible to enemies.  Enemies walking close to a Commando in tall grass does not reveal them.

Sabotage:  If a Commando can approach the radiator side of a tank or wall of a building they can destroy it using an explosive.  Vehicles or buildings destroyed this way increase the chance of negative potentials activating in nearby units.

Assassinate:  If a Commando is able to approach an enemy infantry unit from behind, they can perform a melee kill on that enemy.  Enemies killed this way increase the chance of negative potentials activating in nearby units.

Costly Operation:  Selecting a Commando costs 3 CP.

--Commandos can learn the following potentials:

Infiltration:  On leaving tall grass, the Commando may retain their invisible status until the end of their turn.  Using the Sabotage or Assassinate powers do not remove invisible status.  Ending the turn in tall grass retains the invisible status. Gained at Level 5.

Takedown:  When killing an enemy infantry unit or destroying a building or vehicle, there is a chance that the Commando’s AP will be partially refunded.  Gained at Level 9.

Overwatch:  When another friendly unit counterattacks, if the Commando is near them, the Commando also counterattacks.  Gained at Level 16.

Lord (or Lady) of War:  When a Commando performs a takedown or kills an enemy, there is a chance that they may have their attack refunded.  This effect can trigger multiple times.  Gained at Level 20.

--Commandos give the following Orders:

Reposition:  Select a Commando unit, and select a patch of tall grass on the map within their movement distance.  The commando moves to that position instantly.  Learned at Level 4.
Cost:  2 CP

Forward Recon:  For the remainder of the turn, all positions of enemy units are revealed on the map.  Learned at Level 12.
Cost:  3 CP

Demoralize:  Reduce the AP of a selected Enemy unit by 75%.  The enemy unit loses their attack.  Cannot target Boss enemies.  Learned at Level 18.
Cost:  2 CP

--The Commando ranks up at Level 14.  Upon Rankup, the Commando Elite gains increased AP and Movement, and receives the Gallian StG-45 L&K Special.  This weapon can enter Sniper mode for more precise shooting.  Damage, Range and Shots Fired increase.
