This was a short-running comic series that I had made, that was a early-on-patreon release. This used my anthro rigs, and was based on my personal headcanons of ponies at the time, with some silly bits regarding shipping, anatomical differences, and certain worldbuilding elements.

This ran for the majority of 2019, and one of the last comics published was a silly thing that I had called, 'The Freckedemic', with everyone in ponyville developing freckles. Thought it was cute and funny.

and then 2020 happened.

After that, it didn't seem so funny anymore.

This comic hasn't had any further updates since then, but I am currently re-hashing these anthro rigs I had made, to be more balanced and proportional. If there's enough interest, I may churn out more in the future. We'll just have to wait and see.

I've always been a fan of scifi and space adventures, having grown up in a household full of fans of Star Wars, Trek, Doctor Who, and various others. As time went by, I started paying more attention to the actual space program, and various other projects and mockumentaries. Discovery's Alien Planet, based off the book Expedition by Wayne Barlowe, was another huge point of fascination for me.

And then in 2015, when the New Horizons probe flew past Pluto and captured that now-signature heart shape upon its surface, the thought arose 'That's a dead ringer for a space-themed pony.'

And so Pluto Planitia was born. Drawing on various elements like the classic Buck Rogers comic, paired with my interest in speculative evolution, Pluto became a starhopping xenowildlife photographer, finding new planets and cataloging their lifeforms, while getting wrapped up in one adventure or another. Accompanied by her Holo-AI companion Pixel Dust, and a cast of other colorful characters, they brave the depths of space, always looking to see what's over the next star-rise.

The nature of her comics is very SFW, though I won't rule out potential NSFW content with her in the future, particularly in anthro form...

I started her comic in roughly early 2022, as an attempt to get myself over the recent hurdle of loss in my life. The first story arc is finished, and more are continuing to be made. If you'd like to catch up on her adventures, I made a tumblr specifically for her, if you'd like to get caught up on her adventures thus far.  I generally try to do at least one comic a month, complications notwithstanding.

Milky Way started as a thought experiment not long after MLP:FIM started. And then not long after I showed her around on various websites, her popularity outright exploded, as did the concept of enlarged crotchboobs on otherwise normal ponies.

Not long after that, I started a Tumblr for her, that saw periods of activity throughout the 2010s. At the time, I was afraid of people linking her back to my other SFW hand-drawn stuff, so I decided to do her tumblr in Flash, using the then-new Double Rainboom rigs as a base. This quickly turned into its own thing, and I now offer show-style rig pictures of OC ponies to those interested.

Milky continued living her life though. She made friends, lots of good folk, who I wrapped up into the telling of her story. I finally gave her background, and began an ocean cruise storyline that would have culminated in more hijinks.

And then 2020 happened, and I suffered a tremendous loss...

I have no more drive for this plot now. I feel it will be some time yet before I am ready to return to Trottingham, and continue her story. Her tumblr still stands, at https://milkmare-of-trottingham.tumblr.com/, in case anyone is curious enough to see.

She remains a darling however, and I admit to being picky whenever I see or encounter people who want to draw her in situations that I find uncomfortable. That said, even though I've burned out on her, I can still do art of her, every now and again. So don't count her out just yet.
