Who are you?

We are Voluptasoft, a small team of adult video game developers.

What do you do?

We create games that cater to an adult audience.

Right now we are in the middle of developing Alchimia; a fantasy visual novel with various gameplay elements. As of now we are still in the early stages of production with a playable demo in the works which will be available in the coming days.

The games we create will be released for free, but we can only keep developing them through your continuous support.

Version 0.2.0 Release

Hey everyone!

Today we brought you a shiny new version of Alchimia, we hope you'll enjoy it.

If you are curious to know what has been added and/or changed, there's a changelog in the file named README.md, which is inside the game's folder. Be careful though: it may contain spoilers.

Disclaimers

Some items are missing their description. This will be addressed in the next release.


In this release you will automagically learn all the needed recipes. This will change in the future.


Here's the list of the recipes you'll need to progress in this update:

  • Transformation base
    • 1x Blood
    • 1x Draught of life
    • 1x Milk
  • Potion of breast growth
    • 2x Melon
    • 1x Transformation base

In the future you'll have access to a list of all the recipes you know, so don't worry, you won't have to memorize them or write them down.


To obtain the ingredients for the previously shown recipes, you'll have to forage in the forest. You can do that once per day. Don't worry about how you are able to forage blood or milk from a forest, it's a temporary workaround: in the future, you'll have access to shops that sell those kind of wares or a way obtain them in a more sensible manner.


Some backgrounds don't have a night variant, so they will look the same during the day and during the night. You can tell in which part of the day you are by the music that is playing in certain places and by the background of certain locations.

Alchimia Development Post #2

Hi everyone!

We've been hard at work preparing the next version of Alchimia.

Not accounting for surprises, we should have a release in the middle of September.

Elys' story

Story wise, we've been working only on Elys' carnal path, shifting from the plans described in our previous development post. We've chosen to focus our attention to one path at the time to help bring more depth to each update. 😈

Here's a small teaser of something you'll be able to experience in the coming update:

Gallery

We've implemented a gallery, enabling you to rewatch scenes you've unlocked while playing through the game.

The progress made towards unlocking gallery entries will be included in exported saves, meaning that the scene you've unlocked will be preserved as such when moving to new versions of Alchimia (if we did everything right, eheh).

Map navigation

We've implemented the map interface, allowing you to travel between locations:

Foraging

If you go to the forest, you'll have the option to forage for some potion ingredients:

This won't be the only way to earn potion ingredients, as we plan to implement shops in the future.

New items and item sounds

We've added new items and sounds when interacting with them. We've also polished the potion crafting menu a bit more:

Contextual icons

Contextual icons have been added to some parts of the game:

We'll keep on integrating them where possible. They should help to better convey the intent of dialogue choices and interactable elements. The second icon is used to mark dialogue options that will end up returning back to the choices menu.

Alchimia

Alchimia is an adult visual novel that takes place in a fantasy world. You take the role of the protagonist, a young boy soon to enter the esoteric world of alchemy under the wise tutelage of his guardian cough landlady cough.

Explore a bustling, prosperous town and its surrounding area. Interact with the land’s inhabitants, discovering love, adventure, old wounds, lust, betrayal, or perhaps something a bit different altogether along the way. The threads of fate may come to rest in your hands. Will you shape their futures for the better or worse?

Earn money toiling in the fields or by buying and selling goods. Feeling lucky? Gamble your money away in the twinkle of an eye at the local tavern. Feeling foolhardy? Throw in your lot with the mighty and face the fierce, battle-hardened warriors in the arena.

Craft whimsical potions from the many ingredients you acquire during your journey, then utilize them to overcome the challenges that lie in your way. From humble healing salves and soothing balms to a philtre that grants invisibility to even that which can bestow the power of the gods upon a mere sip. Illuminate the path before you.

Alchimia Development Post #1

Hello everyone, welcome to our first development post!

Elys' story

For the next release, we'll focus mainly on Elys' story and introduce both of her paths. Our reasoning behind this choice (focusing on a single character instead of progressing simultaneously with multiple characters) is that, by doing so, we'll be able to create more in-depth content for the next Alchimia version. 😉

We don't want to spoil too much, so we'll only say that one of Elys' path will be something we can describe as 'pure', meanwhile the other one as 'carnal'. 😊

Inter-version saves

We wanted to make it possible for players that played one of the previous versions of Alchimia, to start playing new releases while keeping their old progress. We are happy to announce that the first iteration of this feature has been already implemented.

You'll be able to export a save by using the strange apparatus in your bedroom:

And you'll be able to import a save by clicking the button at bottom right corner of the load screen:

The data will be transferred through the clipboard, so you won't have to worry about messing with files (but be sure to not copy anything while transferring a save).

World navigation

After the prologue (which is more or less the content of the first release), you'll be able to roam freely through Alchimia's world by interacting with objects and using navigation arrows. We also have implemented text tooltips to help you orient yourself and know what interacting with certain elements will do.

Story mode

As we mentioned in this post, we have implemented a story mode option.

If said option is enabled, you'll be notified each time a minigame or puzzle is skipped.

Tavern minigame

One of Elys' path will require the player to work some shifts as a tavern waiter. The related minigame is still in the very early stages of development, but we wanted to show to you how it's coming along nonetheless.

The top half shows the current order to fulfill, while the bottom half displays all the available options to complete said order. The player will have to complete a certain amount of orders within a specified amount of time to consider the shift as completed successfully.

Hello everyone!

We are very happy to see that there are players enjoying the first release of Alchimia.

We are constantly keeping an eye out to see what you think about it, reading every last comment.

Today we wanted to shine some light on two big aspects of Alchimia.

Story

Alchimia doesn't have a main plot per se. Each major character will have its own independent story, giving the player the ability to choose which character to pursue (and when). Since we want to avoid locking a character's progression behind another one's, we'll have very few (or even none) interactions between major characters. But don't worry, we have a few ideas on how we can tackle that and enable the player to see his favorite girls together in the same scene.

In the next update, we'll reach the end of the prologue and let the player free, allowing him to start deciding with which character to progress.

Puzzles

Alchimia will increasingly feature minigames and puzzles. We made this choice consciously. We want the player to work and earn his rewards. We are very proud of our One Handed Gameplay Technology™, so we won't go overboard with the difficulty and the complexity of said minigames and puzzles.

However, we understand that it's ultimately up to you, the player, to decide how you want to experience the game. We have added to our roadmap the plan to implement an option that will enable skipping all the puzzles. It's not something we'll recommend, but it will be there.

We have a liftoff!

This is our first release of Alchimia.

In this early build we showcase two main characters and some gameplay elements.

There are some goodies in it, but don't expect to go deep inside anything.
