Date Night 1.1 released!

A few notes on this release:

• If you follow this account, you probably didn't need any of the disclaimers in the front of the game, but you can never be too careful. It's really more insurance for me: nobody gets to complain about the contents if they ignore those warnings.

• Speaking of the contents, this is a rough and certainly incomplete list of the material you can find in Date Night, in tag form because that's the easiest way. I made one of these before, but it's no longer accurate, so check out this master list if you don't mind knowing beforehand:

No offense meant to those who do enjoy the above two tags, but I don't enjoy making that kind of stuff, as extreme as some of my stuff can be at times. I'm fine with piss but not shit? Is there really that much of a difference? There is to me, anyway.

• I put out the first version 1.0 a few months ago as an exclusive, but I always intended to release Date Night later on publicly for all to enjoy (or not enjoy as the case may be.) What I didn't intend on was adding an entire new storyline and branching paths that ended up being larger than the original game itself. If you were one of the lucky few to play 1.0, just take that "vanilla route" that was only one scene long to find the new story.

• This is the first game I've ever made, if making a VN in Ren'Py counts. I'm not a programmer and taught myself all this shit through YouTube tutorials and Reddit comments (you can say a lot about Reddit, almost all of it bad, but it does at least have some good resources.) So if it is janky, and it is, that's my excuse. You might notice the music in the video scenes is softer than in the still scenes - that's because for some fucking reason, I had the music and movie files on the same channel and couldn't find any way of separating them after hours of digging. So instead of having the music totally drowning out the sound effects, I just tried bringing them to more or less similar volumes. That's still a problem, but hopefully less of one. 

• This is also probably the final version of Date Night. If I do one day get my head out of my ass and figure out how to fix the audio for good, I may put out a 1.1.1 if that's what you'd call it (I'm pulling these version numbers out of my ass, no idea if I'm using the right naming convention.) But though I'm done with this VN, I'm not done with the story - I have a couple of set/video ideas, exclusives partly as a thank you to my supporters and partly because I just need to make them for myself. So look out for that in a while.

• Finally, thanks to all of you for your follows and support. I hope you enjoy this thing I made. And if there are any technical problems or issues with the downloads, please let me know. I wasn't able to test the Mac version because I don't use one, just in case that's a concern.
